The chapter is 12 weeks long with lots of Pacific focus. I am not saying we are taking it away within this time (though, I actually don't 100% know), but how about we have this conversation in 3 months again? I am sure lots of Pacific only games can be played till then. :)

The Forrest map trees were basically just tree stem. The leaves which are translucent are high up in the sky and due to that they can't overlay with each other multiple times and cause performance issues. The more you know. :)

The price of trying to building photo realistic games for multiplayer with 64 players, vehicles, destruction, physical based driving, flying and bullet systems on maps that are all around 1 sqaure kilometer big. One of the reason no one else does it with all those features. :)

Again, I am not a pro on this topic, but I know our tech art team looked into the issue and fixed as much as the current technology allows.

I think the way it is, is the way it will be. As far as I know consoles run PC medium settings. (I do too om my PC btw, so that's how it looks for me as well.) XboxX and PS Pro just run all games at 4K resolutions, right? So the LODing should be identical.

Yeah exactly. LODing isn't delayed if you have higher FPS. :)

About the characters, no idea, sorry. I had it a lot in the beginning, but it barely happens for me now.

Not an expert here, but it's probably due to performance reasons. At least that's what I understood. Overlapping translucency (I think that is what it is called?) is apparently really expensive in video games. One of the reasons we barely had trees with that volume in BF1.

The visuals should have changed on console as well tho. The pixelated nature of them should be reduced, but yeah, it still has to swap to lower LODs quiet early to maintain 60FPS.

I can double check today, but those are not the only ones. I think Hamada has 4 in total with 3 being outside.

TS has each one far outside.

Mercury I have to check for the British, but the Germans have one in their HQ.

The Arras ones are outside too.

From my understanding everything you see in this trailer can be done ingame. And the amount of explosions is a given in BF. Especially if you play Breakthrough.

Will you take down 10 enemy soldiers in one blast from the MG while driving by with a boat? Possibly, but unlikely. I mean it's a MP game afterall and most people run around with full health.

Will your soldier stand in line with all the other ones? You can try to motivate people, but probably not, as it's not really something people do in CQ and such.

I am unsure what you are after exactly. I mean it's a MP game. Every player is controlled by a human that has his own agenda on the Battlefield.

I don't know about buying, but I was trained on the MG3 a bit over 10 years ago in the German army. That one is basically a MG42 with a slower fire rate. I think they replaced it by now though, but I am sure there are plenty of those guns left.

About hitting with that thing though...I am not sure. Even bipod-ed it's more of a suppression gun than something that hit's precisely. You also don't really want to fire it in full-auto. It just makes everything worse.
But hey, it's about fun in video games. We are really not trying to emulate real life. :P
