That’s just Adam, we can’t stop him! PTR is today, and has not been delayed

The first Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo IV is on the horizon, offering you the chance to test upcoming changes and features for Season 4! PTR will be available from April 2 through April 9 for players with a PC Battle.net account.

The purpose of the PTR is to test updates and features alongside you before the launch of Season 4. Then we’ll take your feedback from PTR to make adjustments to Season 4 before it goes live for everyone.

The forums are important to us, and we’re not leaving them

That will be much closer to the expansion release. We generally try to do them within a couple weeks of the content coming out, depending on the situation.

Ahead of tomorrow’s Q&A, we’d like to invite players to share questions they would like to see answered during the Q&A portion of the stream. While we won’t be able to address them all, and will still be pulling them from Twitch chat as well, we do source questions here as well. Going forward, we intend to create a thread like this ahead of each livestream so that questions can be more easily compiled. Just a few points:

• Troll/spam posts will be removed

• Please only post once per person, and make edits to your post as needed if you choose to add more. This will make it more efficient for us to grab questions.

• This thread is not intended for feedback posts, please continue to post those in your own topics as normal

Gauntlet is seasonal only, and won’t be playable through the Eternal realm

The Gauntlet will be a permanent addition to the Seasonal Realm

That will be coming as we move closer to Season 4, but is not the focus for this particular event.

The blog posts are what populate to the forums, so when the announcement blog hits it will come through. I pin them when they’re posted, but I’d be happy to start making them global pins instead of General Discussion ones.

Broadly speaking, we aren’t able to post to every thread, so to post to only some feedback threads would be viewed as endorsement of the contents, and in many cases, would fuel rumors that changes, ideas, etc. were being implemented when they may not be. We do read and report on the content of forum threads regularly, and that information goes to the team.

Yes, we do, there is regular reporting that we send to the team and I do source plenty of it from here. Similar to the support team, I am not able to post to every thread acknowledging them personally, but I do read them all, and ensure that the community’s voice is heard. This doesn’t always mean a fix is easy, or that we can implement everything asked for (much of it conflicting), but it does drive changes that the team makes.

The support team uses threads created in the Bug Report forum to create internal tickets for the team. Unfortunately, if they were to reply to threads there, an expectation would arise that players would be receiving live, instant technical support, and that would not be scalable. Hope that gives a little more insight!
