Thanks to your support, the team at Eleventh Hour Games has had the opportunity to pour ourselves into Last Epoch and its fantastic community during this turbulent year keeping our spirits up. Hello Travelers,

As we approach the end of the year, I’d like to share with you what our plans and progress are for multiplayer in Last Epoch. Eleventh Hour Games has been hard at work in developing server-authoritative multiplayer that will bring you, your friends, and other Travelers together in your adventures through Eterra. While we are still months away from having this available to the public, we are making great progress and are excited about the mix of social systems we have planned.

Overview

Our core goal for multiplayer is to ensure that the world of Eterra feels alive. You will encounter other players from your server in hub zones like the End of Time, Heoborea, and the Bazaar. You will be able to form parties, check out gear, show off your loot, chat and make new friends.

Greetings Travelers,

We’ve recently had to make a difficult decision regarding the future of our macOS client for Last Epoch due to Apple’s announced upcoming transition to ARM-based Macs [“Apple Silicon”].

The future of Macs is promising, but at this time Apple’s transition will involve dropping instruction set support for the Intel and AMD CPUs that power most modern computers. Similar to other games, Last Epoch relies on those instruction sets and a number of third-party libraries to function properly. While many organizations have expressed a desire to adopt support for ARM-based Macs, it is unclear whether all of these libraries will be updated as necessary and how long it may take their new versions to become fully stable and feature complete.

Unfortunately, it is not within our means as an indie team with limited resources to properly support these upcoming Macs therefore will no longer be releasing updates on MacOS. However, Mac players will still be abl...

Hey all! This is something we agree with whole heartedly and will be working to address it with some system changes. I can’t yet say when those will be implemented but just know that we’re aware and working towards alleviating the issue.

Hi everyone, just wanted to chime in here again. The next hotfix is coming within the next day or two and will address the power of early Monolith bosses and Timelines completely resetting on death. The changes are in testing now.

We’ll definitely be continuing development of controller support. Our next goals are to make the shops/stashes works appropriately and implement tooltip’s additional functionality like more info, compare items, and crafting/mod info toggles. After that we’re wanting to implement better targeting, including UI related targeting.

Hey everyone,

Thank you for your candid feedback on the Monolith. We have been following along very closely and will be releasing a number of updates closely mirroring what @Trasochi had mentioned above.

We are evaluating other changes as well, like checkpoints, certain boss abilities and difficulty, ensuring that battling through echos remain enjoyable, time investment to get to quest echos and bosses, and more.

As always, we value your feedback immensely and can assure you that your comments are not falling on deaf ears. We will continue monitoring your feedback and making adjustments as needed. :heart:

I’m excited to share with you a number of updates coming to one of Last Epoch’s endgame systems, the Monolith of Fate, in Patch 0.7.9.

Endgame content in Last Epoch currently scales with character level. This scaling has allowed Last Epoch to offer level-appropriate content for characters of all levels, even when the game was early in development and only a small portion of the planned zones, enemies, and bosses were available.
