Yes, it's not malice. It is a honest communication disaster that happened due to missed goals - they could have averted with honesty once they reliased they'd reached their budget in money and time for what I now label the "So-called Extended Edition".
And to be honest, here's the big kicker for me: this is how CD Project Red started their long path to the Dark Side. At first it wasn't malice and we fans forgave them everytime because we liked their game, we saw where the problems came from, CRPR worked hard on fixing the issues and kept delivering. Until one day we woke up and could only say "Yes, this last one? It was indeed malice that led us here".
So be careful on that slippery slope - others have already gone down there.
I love Owlcat's games and know there's a great company with great people and do not regret having already pre-odered the next one and totally will buy the next season pass as well if the content seems interesting. But I have seen too m...
