WHAT AN OUTPLAY FROM PROFIT / VANDER / ROGUE.
I wish I celebrated the epicness of RGE play FIRST and THEN called out VIT, man it was so close. I will rewatch this play so many times frame by frame to see exactly how everything played out.

Please dont get snatched by the LCS, stay in Europe you are the best. You and Vedius are incredible
I have no intention of moving at all. I love Berlin, LOVE BERLIN, I've got my own place, a dog, my wife, my family in the UK. I don't wanna leave Berlin and more importantly, I don't wanna leave the LEC. EVAR!
It's reasonable to have them, but it gets annoying when they mention it every game, all the time. That happened particularly in the beginning of the split. Yeah there are narratives and stories to be pushed, yes we like to be hyped, but if it gets too repetitive it starts to have the reverse effect, and the narrative in detriment of other interesting topics of discussion will remove value from the casting, instead of adding. IMO, it wasn't as bad as people say, but I still agree it was a bit overdone.
Consider the average viewer habits of of our viewers, they don't watch 5 hours a day every day. It's a real challenge to cast and make everyone happy, but we make some conscious choices on certain stories to make sure they land to a wide group. If you're a hardcore viewer that watches every game every week, you're gonna hear things more regularly. Storytelling a team, player, league or gameplay is something we actively discuss strategically and do our best to find the appropriate balance. Sometimes what we chose to focus on is different to what you wanna hear, that isn't inherently bad, it just wasn't to your expectations and taste.
Also remember that I'm explaining a point in a simple to digest concept, if you're perspective over my rating isn't on the same page that's fine, I was just making a conceptual point for our internal drife.
When it comes to the show, we're really proud of our growth and quality bar and always want to do better regardless of how good it was. I hope everyone at home can see we are constantly pushing ourselves. The team here read Reddit and socials all the time, so keep the feedback coming. Critical and positive is super welcome and we take it into consideration always.
Oh man I had so much fun that game. Ender and I specifically are practising handing off team fights between one another to lean into Enders strengths and high energy casting style. I hope you enjoyed it! We're gonna keep practising and reviewing it to see if it works and can be unique to his style as a growing Colour!
I also LOVED both S04 and SK. Both teams made some really good calls, and some small mistakes that got SO punished. It was a super fun and competitive game.
Quickshots casting has really fallen off in my opinion. He talks so much BS
Would love to know what you specifically thought was BS? Very happy to learn and implement things!
What a game from Crownshot..
I'm so impressed with his growth. I really didn't think he was able to do that! Humble Pie Eaten and said on air where it really counts.
Quickshot is an amazing caster, but MAN his G2 bias is strong. I was really looking forward to Splyce.
I hope there's a little tone down during the LEC at least, international bragging rights are a given for the next few months.
I agree and I was hyped for Splyce, that wasn't Splyce. I actually said that on air, I was disappointed with their performance and expect more from the Splyce Boys. G2 simply outclassed them.
no one:
casters: did you know g2 is the best team in the world?
<3 I actually did say after the game that I may have hit that a liiiittttttlllleeee to much, but I think the first game back on home soil and smashing is an appropriate time to say it.
I do wanna acknowledge though that it was on the line and depending on perspective / taste might find it okay or over the line.
You ever play hero line wars on battlenet? That map had such rad heroes
Yes of course!!!
Also GemTD and TTW was my main game. I LOVED TTW so much.
This originated in Warcraft 3 back in like 2003 because Alt Q+Q would quit the game. The QQ looking like a crying face isn't why it was used. People back in WC3 days would basically be telling you to quit the game because you were a noob, hence giving you the hot keys to quit the game.
IM SO GLAD OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THIS OMG!
I have shared this exact story with so many people I feel more and more like a dinosaur and like I'm the only one that remembers it haha.
PLEASE
REMAIN
CALM
NOT A CHANCE!!! I'M HYPE AS HELL NAPHORIA
I had to bail out of my win moment, I realised I was focusing on G2 instead of TL and chose a bad time to bail out.
TL eliminated G2 from 2nd place was what I wanted to say, but made a call to stop and celebrate TL. Sorry if it added confusion!
The number of careless mistakes in that casting holy hell
That sleep sched really catching up with them?
Would love to know which ones stand out for interest sake?
Really stoked with how well G2 played mid game and how Spawn explained that Liandry Akali! Just a clean controlled game from the LEC lads. Come on, more domination as you prep for IG!
Quickshot listen to the casters from minute 4 to 6 talking about top lane. Some casters need to work harder, but i am afraid that some just dont have the talent to do it.
Even this response isnt good enough. You're leaving interpretation to me and what I hear instead of telling me what you believe is wrong. If my perspective is different to yours or I focus on other points I don't understand what you're trying to point out.
I will listen back to this segment and draw my own conclusions, but it's important for me to highlight why just saying go watch, isn't good enough.
Read moreI'm pretty shocked at just how bad casting analysis has become from the departure of Jatt and Deficio. The sad part is that Quickshot replied to the tweet telling mithy and soaz to let them know what they're doing wrong. So the casters don't even KNOW that they've been sucking. These guys get paid full time salaries to know about the game and talk about the game. Teddy picked MF today and no one knew about the Bork build. Conqueror rhaast has been picking up steam in solo q but no one knew about it.
But the worst part is that rather than admit they don't know or don't understand they just criticize. They're really no different than redditors when it comes to how they overreact to little things. Maybe my frustrations are misplaced but I really feel like it's just wrong for a caster to make a mistake when this is their full time while I'm barely even plat and wouldn't make the mistakes they do.
At least we have casters like papasmithy who can do on the spot calculati...
Not even close to correctly understanding my intent. I clarified my goals in a stand alone comment.
To digest this feedback from Mithy, we'd prefer more specifics and examples and would love to explore and discuss in depth when more information is shared. Obviously players and teams opinions matter a lot, and I'd love to discuss their opinions and perceptions.
I'm always happy when players and fans share their opinions and feedback. It's an extremely valuable tool to develop and grow, I wanted to clarify that specifics are helpful and necessary when it comes to internalizing and discussions. I didn't think the Mithy + Soaz tweets were quite specific enough to fully dive into and would love for them and any of the pro's / coaches / orgs to actively reach out and speak with the caster team to learn and grow.
“Origen lasted longer than SKT”
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad you appreciated that 👍
Is it just me or is the casting is really rough right now. This game was so hype and they couldn't build on it at all.
Would love to know what specifically you felt was off?
