Because it hasn't even been out for 1 whole month yet? And I've just seen this video here 5 minutes ago to learn about the bug?
Kinda stupid thing to say tbh.

that's three different times this has happened now. Death's Dance, Infernal Soul, and now Elder buff. Jesus, you'd think they'd learn by now.
There's a LOT of interactions in the game, and fortunately you guys play millions of games per day and find them! I'll make sure the team records and fixes this bug asap.
Apologies!
EDIT: now fixed with a micropatch!
This is a basic statistical misunderstanding because a huge part of that winrate is correlation.
Same reason Rabadon's deathcap has a high winrate. Not because it's broken, but because you buy it when you're already snowballing. In other words, it gets correlated with winning teams.
So it is with drakes. The team that was better/played better/was winning anyway would pick up the drakes along the way, so of course drakes would have a high winrate.
Here's an example. It's probable that firstblood has a surprisingly high correlation with winrate. But that doesn't imply first blood's reward is too strong. It implies that the better player, who is going to win lane, is likely to be the one to have gotten first blood anyway.
Who are you and why are you bringing LOGIC here?! I feel uncomfortable...
(I kid! I kid! I love coming to this subreddit. You're all an amazing, passionate community and I wouldn't swap you for anything. This post is excellent, though. They're totally right.)
Sounds like someone worked directly on the changes and is biased against any negative feedback. You can cry edge cases all you want but it's still a janky, anti-fun mechanic.
I did some work on new Elder, but was many VFX and bug fixing. We killed a lot of ideas that we got negative feedback on for preseason so we are good at being as unbiased as possible.
It's more that these clips always have dozens of other contributing factors in them. Diana being fed into space with all dragons, Baron buff and full items probably did most of the work against the enemy team.
We are nerfing the damage over time burn next patch, bit honestly, a shield or heal would have saved her. From anyone.
Remove this braindead elder dragon execute from the game or at least make it much harder to kill.
Oh please. Look at Diana here: super fed, Liandry's burn, Void staff, levels above opponents. She enters fight with Dragon soul, Baron buff and then steals Elder. If the other team had secured Elder, they'd have likely still been obliterated by her.
These are exceptional (and awesome to see!) edge case videos. That's why they're posted to Reddit: because they happen 1 in 1000 games.
Sweet steal! They must have been making a hail Mary play to try and secure the Elder at all. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't!
Yikes! Red buff AND Elder burn! That's a lot of true damage.
They work and gain more money for the content creators. They're well aware some people don't like the titles and thumbnails, but it's how they get noticed above the rest.
Here you go friend, this works the other way around too. So if the ward is too far on the other side of the brush. Its kinda scary if a top/bot laner wards your red and you know that the ward isn't showing it all bc they could just be sitting on the edge of the bush
Hmm I think that's not really ok actually. Those wards look like the kind of placement that might be a mistake rather than intended by newer players, and then if they die as a result that's a little unfair.
Not able to do anything about it right now as out of office for a few weeks.
When was this clip recorded? I was sure I fixed this bug.
Thought they said they fixed this
Yeah, really!
When was this clip recorded?!
This comment reads: I don’t play the game I’m developing.
What a strange and antagonistic thing to write.
Does this mean that if we ever see a pink ward in a bush that isn't able to reveal a regular ward in that same bush, we should report it as a bug?
(Excepting perhaps the curved bush outside of the base gates, or the one by red buff?)
The one outside base gates certainly. The one by red buff I believe is fine.
This is a great suggestion! We did make the call that no brush should require 2 wards, nor should a ward inside a brush not provide vision of all of the brush.
Sharp players will know if at least 1 existing brush on SR that fails this rule, but perhaps changing this brush might be more trouble for relearning.
Read moreIt doesn't matter what percentage it is, it's the fact that there's an automated execute in the first place. The fact that it's 20% just makes it even more ridiculous. You don't automatically get executed at 100% just for existing near someone with Elder buff. I don't get what's so hard to understand tbh.
An automated execute that you don't have to actively interact with aside from killing Elder to gain the buff is just bad game design in general. You can't really play around it aside from waiting it out or avoiding a fight unless you want to give up objectives/map control for free, but that's not always possible. That's what I'm getting at.
I honestly can't believe it was implemented in the first place or why some seem to be okay with it, but this is reddit after all; biggest echo chamber on the internet.
Tell me why you think Sivir deserved to die completely off-screen to something she can't counter aside from running away (which clearly didn't even work),...
Sivir would have died to old elder with 4 dragons, just, faster! She also face tanked the Zac for most of the fight tbh, so there's that too.
Make no mistake: I understand the mechanic completely.
That's not the point. The point is that automatically being executed at 20% health for being anywhere remotely close to someone with Elder buff is a horrendous change. What kind of reasoning justifies not being able to play the game around someone with Elder just because you're low on health? It's literally an auto-win for anyone with a few brain cells; no room for counter-play.
Everyone with Elder gets a CC-immune, auto-locking fountain laser on their head that they don't even have to use or manage, it just automatically zaps anyone under the threshold. That is not quality game design imo.
Why is 20% any different to 0%? You play around 20 the same way you play around 100.
Where did you find this clip? I'm looking for the game and I can't seem to find it on OP.GG.
EDIT: Ahh it's a custom game. Np.
But elder did do 20% of each enemies hp. Elder was clearly the biggest buff, and even if you argue that it should be that impactful, the straight execute at 20% feels terrible and instantly game losing, plz rework
I don't know what items the Zac nor the losing team had, but he was able to remove 80% of their HP all on his own. I imagine he earned that Penta in over the previous 31 minutes of the game.
Elder buff change has got to be one of the worst changes of the year.
No skill involved whatsoever. Sivir was practically off screen and still got zapped. Zac was in blob form when Galio got zapped. Just a stupid, brain-dead change to make games end faster. Horrible way to go about it. This was only against one champion with the buff too, imagine a whole team being buffed. Zero counterplay.
He has ALL available epic buffs in this fight. Elder, infernal soul and lots of AP from Baron. It's not JUST Elder in this fight.
EDIT: and he had thornmail, so every basic attack on him would apply grievous wounds to the attacker AND elder burn. That's rough...
