We have no intention to provide any pre-pricings. What we do plan to add later on is a easy way to see what similar things sold for elsewhere, though. The general economic setup cannot be predefined, though - it depends on what players set up.

I don't know on which server you play - so I can't say much to that, aussie players on official servers were doing well (enough), they are hosted in Europe. Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying you won't have issues with high ping, just that the issues you do usually get don't tend to be problematic in the game Eco is.

Otherwise, no error. Just states it cannot connect

Yes, but what is the exact error it shows when it can't connect? (It creates a logfile)

Have you tried connecting via the server id? Do you have an IPv4 address from your provider, either natively or through a tunnel? Eco servers do not work with sole IPv6 connections, in such cases you need to get a IPv4 some way or host a server on a connection that does offer it.

The problem is your avatars having invalid items - the current solution is to randomize it until you can join the servers. A fix is in the works and will be deployed as soon as we can.

What's the actual error you are getting?
Those online tools are not really suitable to diagnose any problems, once Eco is running, it might simply not be accepting unformatted requests it doesnt expect.

It's a little bit more complex but it sounds like you know what you are doing. Then just allow the ipv6 traffic through your router (assuming you and your friends get ipv6 through your ISP) another option is a VPN, it will add some overhead but it would be better than nothing.

Or if you are feeling brave duel boot into a Linux distro like Ubuntu and try running the Linux version of the server 🤷‍♂️ its pretty easy to do once you get used to Linux

Eco servers don't support IPv6 - you need to have IPv4.

Yes, Eco has regional pricing, we use the recommended prices by Steam for all regions but Argentina and Turkey, given those are countries that are heavily abused to gain the game for cheap due to their economical situation. Steam has also reacted to that and starting next month both countries only allow purchases in USD so developers don't need to adjust prices all the time. I think the recommended prices for Argentina and Turkey in USD go up with that change as well, so I think we are actually using the recommended ones for those regions after the change to USD as well.

We have aussie players on all official servers, while ping is not great, it doesn't really matter much in Eco. The only other alternative would be gathering an australian community and start up your own server locally hosted there :)

That is what I have been trying to state - and what is a nice thing at Eco: You can choose one of many administrated servers that run the game to your liking - or you can let the game play out in a less controlled way, where players need to decide what is going to happen all on themselves with many tools at their availability. The game styles resulting from that can be vastly different, but there is players enjoying all of them. We do want to support the ability to chose.

Eco always had "PvP" of that type via the economical and governmental system. Eco is about people needing to come to agreements on how problems are solved and how their society is run. The game mechanics only help with that where diplomatic efforts fail. The very same can be observed for as simple things as taxation. The new settlement system allows players of different opinions to form multiple communites taking different approaches on the very same server, making a multitude of pluralistic differently run communites possible - e.g. all those players that before either had to yield to the majority or find a different server.

Annexation is a last-resort system that allows to take over settlements that are a threat to the common goal of the planet. It can be used for griefing, but it is also your only option against griefing of a whole settlement, for example by polluting the air to purposefully increase the sea level. Or by the settlement conveniently sitting on a major ... Read more

Nothing we can do about it.

It seems there are several misunderstandings around - or the addition of new system lets people forget what was already possible before, so I want to address each of your points:

1. The only thing that would lead to is the server failing - players don't tolerate abuse and vote with their feet, rightfully so. On any official or recommended community administrated server with rules you will not encounter that either, as unclaiming is restricted. The exact same already works now, by the way, especially on unadministrated servers. First person to set up a government in v9 and get it passed with a few friends can unclaim anyone on the world anywhere. Now it's limited to a specific area. It is and has been a matter of trust - a core point of the game. Even a fully fleshed out elected government with checks and balances can do that when they go mad at any time. Though those are not the governments actually made in vanilla v9 on servers without rules.

2. Correct, that i... Read more

Not at all, but this is the first iteration - which we made for the intended design of the game. Doesn't mean there can't be other achievements later.

I think it is great the way ECO is designed/built. As I have mentioned before, I have over 1400 hours play time, I clearly enjoy it regardless. Achievements are not game-design choices, and if you look at the percentages of players that have chopped down a tree, it looks like only 1 in 200 people choose to play it the way the developers want us to.

Achievements are only available on Update 10 and not everyone plays logger, given you don't need to on multiplayer servers. It's basically rather indicating of the opposite you are stating *g*

Steam achievements only work on Update 10.

Eco is a society simulator game, hence our achievements also revolve around that. The intended way to play Eco is on public multiplayer servers, it was built for exactly that.

Our goal is to make them migrate, but anything incompatible will simply be deleted. Generally, major upgrades do not support migration, though.

Migrating saves between playtests is not guaranteed, that does also apply to the final version.
