It's always a treat seeing you in a reddit thread. Much love - hope everything is going well for you!
All good, thank you! Hope you are also? :)

Any reason why this needs to effect main accounts. Rollbacks are so rare I don’t have many details myself on what is the protocol. I can’t remember the last time there was a rollback. I bet you are glad you’re not a community manager today.
Presumably (and I hope) to fix the accounts who wanted to use FSW membership who instead ended up on the main game due to the flow.
I'm still a CM! And in an instance like this, this is what the job is about, always be prepared to firefight :)
While it isn't great to touch main game accounts because of this, much love to all the devs involved as they try and figure out this rollback, they're brilliant at what they do.
In 2019, Clan Broadcasts were done in a way that meant at the time I was able to add them in-game as that has the biggest impact (of course the amazing Engine team made the work happen so the content itself could be added).
Lobby stuff would have made the update take longer in itself, but I hope we see it one day for sure!
Didn't they stop the gold premier club specifically being on offer at the end of the year and change it to be available all year?
If they did I missed it likely because of my long breaks so scratch that last bit of the comment then 😁
Regardless of the perception now this is a great post in terms of diving into the feedback so awesome to see this.
I must say I wonder what’ll happen to the price of bonds and considering premier club is normally end of the year I dread how much gold premier will cost for bonds 😁
Shauny, i really appreciate everything you did while at jagex, but please dont do this... Jagex do not employ you anymore, they specifically hire people to do this kind of thing and if they are unable to sort this mess out, it's on them.
I edited my main reply, I wanted to try and help but Jagex no doubt are all over it for sure :)
Sorry but I don't see the point of your involvement in all this. You aren't a Jagex employee any longer. I'm sure someone there asked you to do this and felt it might sway sentiment toward FSW if you were to do so but it smacks of manipulation and that's even worse.
Jagex knows fully well what they are doing and they don't need you to sugarcoat it for them. They're trying to disguise FSW as something it is not and it didn't work. We see it for the cash grab that it is and how it is solely directed at creating a ton of new alt accounts.
And frankly given that you don't even play the game enough anymore, you really shouldn't be doing this at all. Sorry, I love you, man, I really do but please steer clear of this disaster.
I respect it 😁 just thought I could offer a medium ground to try and help the discussion but probably in retrospect it’s better handled by more engaged people for sure!
Retired and beloved community manager coming to make the current community manager look like a novice on his stream
Edit: I’m joking. We love both of them
Absolutely not, I’ve known Hooli for 10+ years and he’s worked on massive franchises and has got the CM game down to a tee. He’s brilliant at what he does 😁
Thank you for hosting this - I like how you are gathering community constructive feedback proactively- this is really something the jagex staff (atm) should be doing - by having a discord channel, or discord thread, to gather concerns/ take feedback and address each one or at least an update that they're working through feedback and potentially making changes (because there's been silence since the FSW announcement/video which is disheartening).
I’d like to think they’re doing this already, in the past when I couldn’t add much more information I’d be gathering posts and I have no doubt Hooli and team are doing that
If a retired mod cares about the state of RuneScape- it’s signalling Jagex has got it wrong really badly- whoever has been making calls on the direction of runescape and contents is out of touch with the existing playerbase.
There’s a ridiculous amount of staff there that are passion about RS, I saw that day in and out and it still shows today IMO.
Just to make this clear, I wouldn’t want to host this if it turned into pure flame towards Jagex, ideally this should be a constructive conversation on the topic and a way to give them feedback that helps them compared to the sheer amount of posts/comments lately
I don’t play enough to give an actual full view on it but the topic itself is interesting.
EDIT: I think after a lot of thinking, while a stream is a nice way to try and articulate this, I'm also pretty sure Jagex are trawling all across the replies, its what we did in the past and I have no job Hooli + team are doing a great job of that. I wanted to try and provide a middle ground to try and get more feedback, but I mean there's a ton out there anyway so :P
I say this with the utmost respect for the Jmods afraid to say the truth to your higher ups, f**k you.
Shame on you for even promoting this. Knew the game was done when /u/Shaunyowns left, he was one of our last advocates. /u/Jagexhooli as the person whos filling his shoes this was your spot to tell them "no, that's absurd."
Edit: As Shauny said my comment towards Hooli maybe unfair, maybe he has tried to say something but as it stands this seems like nothing but a CM standing by to promote an absolutely disgusting money grab that will have repercussions for the main game in way too many ways. Hopefully when we actually get a stream we can see Hooli drop some actual hardball questions at people about this mode.
I think the comment to Hooli’s unfair, he has nothing but passion for the game so I have no doubt he’s smashing it there.
You have to remember also you can advocate but sometimes things are just made to happen.
Assuming this comes out before the account system rework, they could have some sort of linking process where both accounts need to verify that they're linked via the RS website's account page. Similar to signing up for Twitch integration.
I really hope that's the case, feel like it would have alleviated some initial apprehension about the new account stuff, at least for me anyway, I'd make a new account if I can transfer the rewards to my main for sure :)
EDIT: Come to think of it, if they're letting you buy MTX on the account I feel like an transfer to the main game at the end is inevitable, as it wouldn't make sense to give MTX on accounts that would be reset/deleted at the end.
Wow that was a great video, well done to everyone involved in that! Looks amazing :D
Devastated.
This man was literally my partner in crime for streams, and he was incredible.
So proud of him.
As someone who obsessed over the skybox tool as part of a TAPP so long ago, yes, dear god yes!
Ugh man the concept of clan PvM/Reaper sounds so good :(
Would LOVE this idea.
We absolutely do consider ourselves very lucky. Not only that, one has even joined the content team and developed the Nodon front.
Also if anyone reading this doesn't know about the /wiki command (or button) in game... well...
One of the best things I ever got to show off! Now we just need more drop rates like OSRS 😉
And yeah I know for a fact how lucky you consider it to be, I saw it firsthand, hope you’re well dude 💜
It is the best wiki in the world, fact.
The team there are absolute superstars and deserve even more and quite frankly Jagex should consider themselves very lucky they have them. 😃
