That sounds incredibly frustrating and I'm sorry you experience this when booting up the game.

I would love to see if you are getting any specific errors in the debug logs. That would help me figure out what could cause this for you.

Location on Mac: ~Library/Application Support/com.Unknown-Origin-Games.OddRealm

Note on Mac: Your Library folder might be hidden by default. Shift+Command+. will show hidden folders in the Finder and should make the Library folder visible if it is hidden.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to add something to make this easier. An alternative is to change the profession from the entity tooltip when one is selected. Though, that's not better, but it might make changing a specific entity's profession quicker.

BUG: Cancelling taken jobs

I think this is ok? The higher priority jobs should be done immediately/first. This is important for jobs like eating/drinking so they are done right away.

You can start new settlements from an existing one, but I'm still working on managing multiple settlements.

Hey everyone,

I don't have a new patch or anything but I wanted to post a quick update so folks don't think I'm awol or anything. Every now and then I see the odd post saying I've abandoned the game or something similar. I have not.

That said, I definitely won't be able to match the amount of work that was going into the game pre 1.0. I was working every day this last year, and it was not healthy. It really burnt me out and I don't want to feel that way again. As well, I'm dealing with a bunch of family and life challenges at the moment, so I don't have the same bandwidth to completely focus my efforts on the game. Hope you can understand.

As for the game dev stuff, I'm currently focused on testing some improvements to jobs, pathing, and performance. These are complicated systems, so I'm trying to take my time with them. I want to fix the issues people have mentioned quickly, but I also don't want to rush them out only to create other problems. These are also... Read more

key bind issue mouse scroll

Sorry for the delay on adding scroll input rebinds. It's now at the top of my to-do list. I've been back from vacation for a few weeks working on various things folks have request. Lots to do!

That said, zooming in/out is already hotkeyed to the scroll wheel, but you hold ctrl. So, ctrl+scroll wheel.

Obviously that's not exactly what you're requesting (you want it just to be scroll with no modifier), but I thought I'd mention just in case anyone doesn't know you can still zoom with the scroll wheel.
