China never operated the Harrier at all. XZ965 is the aircrafts serial number. It was given to China as a museum piece.

Germany never operated Harriers. RAF Harriers operated in Germany.

Comment

Never built at all. It was cancelled.

Comment

Generally never really armed at all. It was more a testbed and demonstration aircraft for what would become Harrier GR.1. So again, no real reason to shoehorn it in when there are plenty of more viable Harrier variants.

Comment

Different periods in the games history under different criteria and also different situations.

We are not going to shoehorn in VTOLs for all nations when some nations quite honestly didn't want them, didn't use them and didn't have them. Germany and France are two of those nations.

Comment

Pretty sure Mike has already confirmed its not today, but If I really need to say it too:

Comment

How many times have you asked this already and how many times have I said be patient?

Comment

Actually Harrier was developed from Hawkers P.1127 / Kestrel which began development in the late 1950s and flew in 1960, preceding all of the German projects.

Kestrel was operated by a special squadron made up of British, German and American pilots whos experience and feedback on Kestrel went on to be implemented in Harrier GR.1.

Comment

Not the Naval line thats for sure as they are not the Sea Harrier models. They are the RAF GR.1 and GR.3 models.

Comment

Germany, Japan and France dont have armed VTOLs. Just testbeds and experimental aircraft they were not armed.

Dont except to see them.

Comment

There is a high probability it will be very soon indeed. But right now it's too early to say for sure. Given how some take even "soon" as direct confirmation now and then call us liars when it doesn't happen immediately, I think you can appreciate I can't be spesific until we are 100% sure.

Comment

There are also rumours I'm upgrading to Smin4k.

Both of these things are untrue )))

Once again it's a case of someone found a file somewhere and as always files =\= confirmation or a direct indication of anything.

Again, thats not what I said. Only that we dont have any of those types of pods in game at all. Its not just the MiG-21s.

They will come when they can.

Comment

Where did I say its stopping it from happening?

I just gave you a quote that said they would be added in time for all aircraft that had them.

Comment

No aircraft in game have suspended / hardline pods as countermeasures yet in game, the MiG-21 is not an exception to that. Its not a case of "nothings been done" its a case of we dont have that particular feature in game yet for anything. As we said here: https://warthunder.com/en/news/6575-qa-answers-from-the-developers-en

It's just a case of time.

Comment

Not sure where thats come from, but its in the Bluewater fleet as a Rank I.

Comment

To be clear, I was talking about Countermesures.

Comment

They wont be coming back since they are unhistorical vehicles and replacements have been added.

Maus is historical and we always said it would return.

Comment

Its conflicting indeed, as Bis is also mistaken for PMF is many cases too. But they are still working on countermeasures and hopefully there will be a favorable outcome eventually.

T-2 was armed. VAK- 191B on the other hand was a testbed and never armed. Germany wont be getting VTOLs.

Comment

MiG-21Bis is also not the only addition this patch and there are also several aircraft in game awaiting flares too. When there is an outcome, we can discuss it then, but this is a huge update with lots going on thats not just the MiG.

We are not going to do this for all nations guys. Italy and UK are all pretty much shown for sure.
