That’s up to you!

And yes, mods are allowed for this contest since all platforms are being judged separately. We haven’t allowed them in previous contests since they were all judged together. So this is a bit experimental.

Ah gotcha! I totally see the confusion. I’ll edit it to better reflect that. Thanks for pointing it out!

You don’t have to choose the same religion you started with in the game. It can be whatever you choose! If you choose Crom, that’s up to you how you want to interpret a temple to Crom.

Ayyyyy I got the Stelagel approval!! But always open for questions. They help make every future post more clear.

Also, please note that the confirmation email you get for submitting your entry has the wrong date for when the winners are revealed. That was my bad and will get that updated asap. :notlikethis:

Edit: FIXED!

Exiles,

We’ll be hosting a dev stream this Friday 2021-03-12T16:00:00Z to talk about the upcoming changes with patch 2.3 as well as updates to console. We’ll also have a little Q&A towards the end. The questions be selected from here, so if there’s something you’d like answered please feel free to leave a comment. Unfortunately, we may not be able to answer all of them but we’ll do our best to answer as many as we can. There will be Funcomers in Twitch/...

Our Project Director, Scott Junior, would like to address the Xbox community with an update regarding the current situation with stability issues:

Hello Exiles!

This week we have identified the error that causes clients to frequently terminate/dashboard a few seconds after they connect to a dedicated server. We have a build that we are testing internally and with our external test department and so far the results are very promising.

Once we finish testing and verify that there are no new issues caused by this fix we will submit this to Microsoft for certification and release it as soon as possible. Our current goal is to release this early next week.

We are also continuing to looking at various crashes on XB1 and Series S|X and continuing to work on memory and CPU optimizations.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and we are looking forward to releasing the patch next week!
-Scott

Hello Exiles!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year’s. Over the past month we have been continuing to investigate crash reports with the additional logging we added in December. We currently have a fix in testing with our QA department that shows some promising results. We will continue to test this build over the weekend and if the current results hold, we plan to submit the patch sometime next week.

In addition, we have started working on a version that will allow the Xbox Series S and X consoles to launch the client with a different device profile. This will allow the client to access the additional CPU, GPU, and memory that is available on the Series S and X.

The 2.2 Devkit update is now available. HOWEVER! The 2.2 Update is still a work in progress build, but includes a few new big changes. We wanted to let you have a look at it and see how these new changes can benefit your current or future mods, and we wanted it available for you to test before the Christmas break.
So we found a good compromise.
Starting today, you will see in your EGS library a new Devkit product page, Conan Exiles Devkit Testlive.

PSA: Any mods created with this Devkit will NOT be compatible with the current live version of the game, but can be tested on Testlive!! So keep that in mind when preparing your mods!

We made the current version of the 2.2 Devkit available under that branch. To access it, and if you already own the Dev Kit on the Epic Game Store, you will now see a new product in your library. Download and open as per usual!

You’ll be able to get your hands on it and test it but keep in mind...

Our Project Director, Scott Junior, would like to address the Xbox community with an update regarding the current situation with stability issues:

Hello Exiles!
The team has spent the last few weeks investigating crash reports, optimizing GPU/CPU usage, and eliminating several theories we had developed about what is causing the Out of Memory crashes on the original Xbox One and Xbox One S. We are also looking into the work around several players use (loading an offline single player game before logging into a dedicated server session) and determining what causes it to increase stability.

We released a patch today that adds a critical piece of logging to crash reports. This information will allow us to reproduce the Out of Memory crashes players are having in a more efficient timeframe. When the client crashes we receive a crash report with useful information like player location, player state, how much memory you had available, and other anonymized in...

Hey all!
Thank you SO much for taking the time and giving us some great answers. They’re all being forwarded to the devs.

There is an update we have though. We have some unfortunate news about the MapDataTable change we had planned for 2.2. During testing we discovered that the implementation we chose to do for this feature increased the initial client load time by roughly 20 seconds which is far too long. We’ve had to pull the feature for 2.2 and will look at a different solution in 2.3. Apologies for the delay!

We would like to address our incredible modding community and hope to clear some things up, while also gathering feedback from you all. We understand that the frequent amount of patches to the game can cause frustration and hope that we can minimize this for the future.

2.1 Patch

In 2.1 we allowed character creation options to be referenced by a row name rather than an index. This should allow multiple mods to add character creation options without overwriting each other.

However, because the options are saved by index on the character, adding more options can mess up existing characters’ appearance. Thus server admins need to pay attention to mod order.

Xbox official servers are on their way back up. You should now all be able to access your characters that were created before today’s update. Once again, we appreciate your patience and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!
