Hello Galactic Survivalists!

In the last blog[empyriononline.com] we teased you a little with the story arc that would be concluded later this year. This is still a bigger project, but we can update you on some other stuff in that regard.

Hello Galactic Survivalists!

Last week we made our first announcement on version 1.5 (read here[empyriononline.com]). The main content of this update is quite code-heavy, which means a lot of things are going on behind the curtain without offering a good way to do a nice visual representation.

But while our programmers do their work to prepare the game for future feature changes and additions, quite a few things happen on the art and content side of things as well.

For example we will be adding a new NPC faction with tons of POIs and an own galactic territory, created by spanj and a lot of creators, contributing POIs and vessels: the Brotherhood of Farr!

Hi Galactic Survivalists!

We made some changes regarding EAC. This will mean the following for you:

- If you play Alpha 10, Alpha 11, Alpha 12 or the latest V1.4.x and you use EAC then you have to update your game.
If you dont do this you will get EAC errors​

- All previous versions Alpha 9 and below can no longer make use of EAC.
If you play SP or CooP this doesnt matters much as you dont need EAC and for CooP you cant use EAC.
If you use this on a Server we highly recommend that you use a password and only let in trusted people as you cant use EAC anymore on those versions.​

Hello everyone!

As you might know, we have an incredibly dedicated group of people that currently take care of translating each and every tidbit of the huge pile of texts, dialogues and PDA stuff throughout the game. The result of their constant efforts will be added in one of the next patches, although we are far from being complete.

That being said, and because the pile of game text has grown in the past months a lot (and will further grow with more missions and such), I would like to renew the announcement and ask again for help and assistance in that context.

UPDATE:

EXP: In the EXP Version it will be ON for the simple fact we want feedback and this way we get more feedback. Numbers will be more adjusted then what they are currently since we see aswell the current numbers dont work.

PUBLIC: You will have a global ON/OFF Switch ON ALL GAME MODES. With Default OFF till A11 ATLEAST

TIER SYSTEM: We will build during the EXP Phases a Tier System for the CPU. Cores that can be upgraded to a higer system. You start with a low CPU (you dont need a large ship when your lvl 5 afterall) work your way up to a higher system. Our example showed a max of Tier 3 core with 1600K max CPU for a CV. We also will provide Server Owners (prob on a per playfield level) what kind of Tiers you will allow on that Playfield

The EXP Phase will contain info how we will proceed since not all changes we talked about will make it in the first EXP Version. Tuesday Evening we will decide if we... Read more

Developers before add the any update, do not check at all, elementary simple features of functionality. This is likely to happen with each update.
I saw in the video elementary and simple logical errors in the game mechanics, no fault company tester revealed these errors. Mistakes that strike your eyes.

That is why I will use strong words this time:
They have no idea what they are doing.
I'm afraid the game is a scam, with amateurs who don't know what they're doing.
And there you wrong. Otherwise we wouldnt have postponed the EXP at all and just release it.

Due to all the feedback regarding CPU the last 2 days we decided to postpone the EXP Release till Wednesday
to take a good look to all the feedback and implent changes to the CPU System.

Depends how u set it in the yamls.

Non of the dronebases are set to unlimited waves in the default game

Its an A10 thing. U can test it in a special scenario in A9

U cant use a FTP drive as save game directory. U have to use the save game directory on the server.

You have to point in the dedicated.yaml the name of the save game to the same folder name as your previous save game

The Tutorial isnt a full Tutorial. We used to have one but we removed it.

When u fill up the last slots in the ContainerController u get a new row. 4times.

The slots arnt unlimited. The Volume cap can be increased

Why the controller doesnt work with a normal container since it has nothing to do with it. The Controller IS a own container. It has nothing to do with the normal containers. U either use the normal container wich ar limited to a certain volume cap. Or u use a controller with an extender and u can increase the volume cap.

The slots stay the same. No way u can increase them its hard coded and wont change. U just get 4 extra rows with a controller when the other slots are full. Just 4 rows nothing more. Its dynamic grid, it wont show UNLESS the other slots are full

No the containers have nothing to do with it. The Controller is its own Container. The extender will extend it. We added a few extra slot spaces to it but the slot space is still limited. The Extender only extends the containerController's Volume Cap

- If the turret or weapon is retracted into its box, it has 20% stronger armor

Dont know if log files matters much. As it sounds like EAC is the issue.

We have no controll over that. U have to contact EAC support for that



EAC is optional. U can play without it. Just the majority of the MP server have it switched on
