Since uranium can be enriched there is probably also some kind of richer uranium. There will be another machine for the uranium enrichment process. I'm blanking on the name right now, but it was shown in the latest post by /u/v453000.

centrifuge is the enrichment machine, and there won't be cooling towers. Nuclear power is reactor, centrifuge, heat pipes, turbine, mining drill.

We do keep using win7 overall, our rendering machine has win10 ... I was just refering to the fact that microsoft took this long to make a console which can be resized horizontally... :P

Certainly not going home with that. :D

Yeah, but I'm up to it! Worst comes to worst I can just model my own without the actual models but then it will lack the beautiful touch that you guys have 😉

I should have replied in more complete form ... point is, we probably don't want to release the 3D sources for many reasons like it's a load of data, it can be a mess, and I don't even feel too good about sharing my 3D source ... So the eventual solution would probably be that we provide 3D print-ready STL files, but that is a lot of work. :)

That's sick! Is there any chance that we will get a release of 3D models from the game? I'd love to 3D print some of the parts.

The thing is that it's quite a lot of work to make the 3D model printable...

yeah, but when you have 45deg projection, the 3D grid is distorted in y by square root of 2 (1,41)

every day working on factorio is a party

cmd.exe? Get on my level, use powershell bruh!

(eh, not really, if your workflow is satisfactory then it is fine, I just switched to powershell since it is way more powerful and flexible)

I just doubleclick .bat files that I wrote earlier :P so far...

Your camera says ortho but it is in perspective. As a fellow modeler, this bothers me more than it should.

it's not in perspective, the rig is just moved :) <3

Post

Hi,

once upon a time I read a post here which went along something like "here is my megabase" and had a very specific wall.

It was something like this:

  • roboports on the wall do not interconnect in their logistic areas

  • robots are automatically taken off a roboport and sent to the next roboport segment if there is enough robots in the cell

  • supplies (service packs, walls, turrets) are redistributed between the cells somehow

I have built something similar-ish, but it doesn't seem to quite work so I am interested about the idea it included.

The guy who submitted it had a blue circuit (processing unit) as his flair if that helps. :D

Does anyone remember this post, or has a similar concept somewhere?

Thanks!

Sooo, continuing from the posts from yesterday:

After I tried to improve my circuitry a bit further, I pretty much got it to work, but at the same time I realized I can achieve even better results by removing the circuit completely, and using the 1 extra overflow line as an extra input.

I could get 4 belts of ore throughput wi...
