So many great designs.

Deadly moves is actually a design we almost shipped a few years ago. Nothing was wrong with it, we just ended up going with something that was more specific to the theme we were designing to.

Thanks for the positive thoughts.

Our design philosophy is that it is better to push the limits and make exciting changes and exciting new cards than to do the safe thing and risk having a less fun game.

We are happy with the results of the buffs and if players end up with some dust then maybe they can use that to experiment with a new fun deck.

Awesome job, this is a very hard to do on Heroic!

We actually talk a lot about intrinsic rewards vs extrinsic rewards and they apply differently to different situations.

Here we decided that putting a reward of some object behind this incredibly hard task would probably cause people to grind it out even if they didn't enjoy it, just to get the reward. We prefer for tasks this hard to let people complete them because they enjoy the process (this is called an intrinsic reward).

We do put a reward behind beating each wing once because that is a much more attainable goal for most people.

Glad you enjoyed Heist so much, and I am sure you will like the new adventure we will start talking about in a week or two.

One quality that most casters have is an ability to talk about the game at a high level. Communication is a huge part of working as a team and Cora has always been great at that.

Another part is understanding the meta and why it changes. Which cards are most important to each deck, and how a deck might change if a card was added or removed.

Another important aspect of final design is understanding which cards are fun or exciting. Casters and streamers tend to have a very good idea of which cards make for fun gameplay and scenarios.

Cora did great on all of these aspects and we are lucky to have her as part of the Hearthstone team. I look forward to working with her.

Thanks for writing up this list of Hearthstone Idols.

Cards like this turn a card game into a story you want to celebrate and tell your friends about. To me this is the most important aspect that other card games fall short on. It is hard to hit the sweet spot on these designs of being clean designs, with mind blowing results.

Each of these makes me proud of the design team for going above and beyond.

PS: My favorites are Rexxar, Whizbang and Reno Jackson. With an honorable mention to C'thun.

I have gotten flare before I am pretty sure, I would certainly expect it against multiple secrets. Let me know if you aren't seeing it and anything else weird.

By the way we made a couple small hot fixes to Zephrys today including changing when you get weapon destruction (Harrison) to be more accurate and Silences/Mass Dispel will appear at the right time more often.
