Hi Tenno,

The Sisters of Parvos update will bring three new Modular Hound Companions, each with a unique Melee weapon. While reviewing these Companion Weapons, we noticed the Helios-old problem that there’s a lot of Melee Mods that you can equip, but don’t really function on companion Melee. There’s also some ‘invisible gear hopping’ where if you put Mods on your Deconstructor (or Prime), the carry over to your Melee which is a many-year-old oversight we’ve lived with, but are approaching changes more thoroughly with this Update and as a result we’re patching up this behaviour.

These are mostly Mods that deal with combos or heavy attacks, since Companions do not have these features as well as other certain outliers. As a result the following Mods will be incompatible with the upcoming three Hound weapons and retroactively will no longer work with the Deconstructor and Deconstructor Prime:

  • Amalgam Organ Shatter
  • ...

June 24 Update:

How many Vitus Essence will each Mod cost from Arbitration Honors?

20 Vitus Essence Each. If you'd like to wait until the Sisters of Parvos Update launches, it will increase the Vitus Essence drop rate from 3% to 6% from the Drones. Note that for consistency the Vitus Essence will also disappear after 5 minutes if not picked like Steel Essence as previously announced. Heads up!

Tenno!

Since The Arsenal Divide Workshop launched on Friday, we’ve been busy developing, testing, and reading responses. We have some preliminary changes to share with everyone! We’re posting in a separate thread to highlight the changes, and will do all necessary cross posting in the originals to keep them up to date. This means that June 22 onward has the latest information on The Arsenal Divide!

In the days that passed, we’ve addressed 3 areas (as well as a 4th bonus one)!

Each one is covered in detail below:

1) Arcanes:

Primary and Secondary Dexterity Arcanes:

- Added +60% Holster Speed

Why: We are including a Holster Speed benefit within the Arcane itself to ensure the whole ‘Dexterity’ aspect of it is clear with the whole Arsenal being easier to use!

Primary and Secondary Merciless Arcanes:

- Reduced MERCILESS Arcanes D...

As far as the Galvanized mods go they look much better than their leaked forms, I'll hold judgement until i have them but they look alright. The Nukor nerf was expected, sucks for the people who liked it though (even though I always felt the Phantasma performed better, probably just how i built my nukor though).

They remain Kitgun Exclusive.

Not within the scope of this Update but I can't say for certain what the future holds!

Perhaps too early to tell without knowing their actual price, but this seems a little contradictory from the goal?

Not all weapons are built equal, but ideally there are several answers to each query, so that Tenno can make their own choices from a variety of options and keep things fresh.

Needing to use a potato + forma + unlocker (+riven) for every new weapon you want to use, seems like more effort that encourages you to just stick with your old meta weapons.
And the incosistency is rather confusing imo. Why do these arcane slots need an unlocker? While warframes/operators/amps/kitguns/zaws all have the slots available from the start.

There is an FAQ now that answers this:

Can you buy Arcane Unlockers with Platinum?

- No, this is not a Platinum Market item. They are earned items through the Steel Path Honor’s store for 15 Steel Essence each.

Where do the new Arcanes Drop?

- Acolytes on The Steel Path have a 100% chance to drop 1 of the 6 new Arcanes.

Making the gun upgrades require a lot of late game grinding is weird, since you don't need to do that to build a good melee weapon. The on-kill mods will also ironically make guns worse at killing bosses and hunters.

I personally don't think these changes will fix anything, but at least these arcanes don't require some incredibly tedious side-grind.

It shouldn't be too much late game grinding in practice - by the time you're done Earth you and/or a day or two of Steel Path Incursions (you don't need the Regions unlocked to do these) you should have enough Steel Essence for Adapters for your desired loadout, and you will have encountered enough Acolytes to start building out Arcanes. The FAQ was updated to share Drop Rates / these details.

X-posting from the FAQ that we're adding to the forums (and here):

This will be expanded throughout next week as more questions come in!

Helminth Workshop FAQ:

Does your Helminth Rank automatically increase when the new 5 Ranks are added?

- No. The new Invigorations will give XP/Affinity toward Helminth in addition to normal feeding and Subsume/Infusion actions! There won’t be any automatic rankups based on the current vs new Level Cap.

Are Invigoration options only chosen based on Warframes you own?

No, much like Arbitration Warframe Buffs, the Invigorations options are pulled from the entire roster.

Tenno,

When choosing weapons for a mission, the Tenno have a lot to consider...

  • Which weapons are strong enough for me to fight at this level?
  • Which weapons are best against this faction?
  • Which weapons are the most efficient and easy to use?
  • Which weapons do I have the most fun with?
  • Which Mods make these weapons perform best?

The average player will ask themselves at least one of these questions (usually more) before making a selection. Not all weapons are built equal, but ideally there are several answers to each query, so that Tenno can make their own choices from a variety of options and keep things fresh. If one category of weapons outclasses all the others, or makes ...

PARAZON REWORK

Parazon attacks were introduced in The Old Blood as a way to Mercy kill enemies. This stylish and universal blade has a clear role in all things Kuva Liches (and soon to be Sisters of Parvos), but their role in the game at large has been hard to play around. There are problems in need of solving, and this workshop outlines our plans to do just that!

The problem with Mercy kills is they are hard to pull off, making engagement with the system far too low! Mercy kills only have a chance to trigger when an enemy’s health is 20% HP or less. In practice, you really never know if it’s going to happen. And if it does, it is often too late! You’ve riddled them with Status effects, a Squadmate casts an Ability, or your Kavat might be feeling extra bloodthirsty, and you cannot get in for the Mercy kill.

We are changing their design, adding new Mods (thanks Design Council!), and refreshing the system.

You can watch a video explanation as part ...

Hi Tenno!

We are working away on the final touches for the Dev Workshop that outline all things Melee, Primary, and Secondary. We're just doing some reviews / tests before we put everything in place to share with you (in written and video form).

We originally were posting today, June 16, but we’re just awaiting some final data / tests before we start sharing. There is a thorough data pass being done, and it took a bit longer than we anticipated!

And speaking of longer than we anticipated… there’s more to this Workshop than you’d expect. We’re also detailing out a rework of Parazon kills, and Helminth system expansion!

Lots to cover, and you can read or watch it all on Friday, June 18!

Sorry for the [DE]lay - to give you the best information possible, we just need those 2 additional days!
