Isnt it kind of bad to kill different playstyles thought? Forcing people to upgrade ultimate sounds weird.

On one hand I agree with you, on the other hand, the difference was so large on such an unintuitive build that leveling the 'normal' way you do with every other champion was essentially a trap. It wasn't so much that the skip R build was a playstyle so much as the optimal way to play the champion if you were solo. Building juggernaut items on Darius isn't a playstyle, it's just the best way to play him - similar thing here.

Ryze was changed for reasons unrelated to this max order, I believe - More to do with the massive gulf between his pro play and regular play performance.

His waveclear with his old E scaling was very strong, particularly in the laning phase, so it had to be changed. Shifting the damage increase of Q away from E ranks to his ult was a great way of doing that. It just so happened that it also made his leveling order more similar to every other champion (ie max a single ability at a time, always level your ult when you can). It's a useful tactic, be...

Ryze, before his most recent rework, had a significant (read: 10 points) winrate increase if he didn't skill his ultimate at level 6 but instead at level 11. His most optimal leveling looked something like 3 points in Q then max E and then take R in solo queue.

Back then, his ult only had two ranks and not very useful at rank 1 in solo queue because of its short range. Ranking up your E instead would give you significantly more waveclear because your Q damage on targets with E would scale with E rank, not Q.

This was before his flux damage scaled with his ult. That change pretty much killed that strategy.

I don't attack people unless they attack first. A few Rioters attack the community and pro players here though.

I'm not aware of anyone at Riot 'attacking' the community or pro players.

The game is still balanced around different levels of play, so I don't think it's fair to say that their opinions are invalid. They might not necessarily be amateur pro players, but the majority of the players of the game are in those ranks and so if something is overtuned to them that's something that should be addressed in some cases (I agree with you in other cases; if a player is failing a skill check, like losing lane due to poor wave manipulation, they should learn to beat that skill check rather than nerfing the champion that abuses poor wave manipulation)

For an example, you, lets say, pick Veigar mid and enemy decides to go for Zed. You win your lane 4/0 but you end the game with 5/10. How am I to figure out if you did well on your lane or you just fed the enemy Zed straight away, and he finishes like with 18/7.

And I don't think that Op.GG does have the time stamps.

Op.gg has a timeline feature but it can be difficult to parse

You and I are allowed to have different expectations. I think that, in general, the balance team make the right decisions.

As an AD main, I am sure you have some thoughts on the state of the game right now and my op.gg is not going to change those, it's just going to give you something to attack or justify that your opinions are better than mine.

I personally think TTK in the game right now is too low, which is part of the reason AD feels so weak to play, but I also acknowledge it may be difficult to change that in the middle of the season. The competitive meta appears to be shifting towards a more AD-centric game, but it's still really bursty which makes it unforgiving of mistakes and makes crit ADCs, which are disproportionately less mobile, much more punishing to play.

Right now I am Diamond 4 - I barely played any ranked this season, literally only played my placement games in March and stopped playing, hit Diamond this weekend and had a really unlucky s...

Hitting the mark is easy if you are the one who is setting the mark. The real question is though, what if those marks are the wrong ones sometimes?

'Hit the mark' here means 'They meet my expectations as a player'. I have no involvement in any balance decision, though I play League enough that I do have particular expectations :)

Then you will know why it is not just Reddit reinforcing negativity for no reason, there is a good reason why the Balance team is receiving huge and justifiable criticism!

I mean, Perkz suggests that the Rakan change (70-270>>70-290) on W won't affect Rakan til 17-18, which is incorrect. Most Rakan players in solo queue are maxing W at the moment, according to every third party source I could find (such as op.gg etc). Maybe Rakan is skilled differently in pro play, but this will be a buff to him in levels of play where more frequent aggressive play takes place. I don't know that it will make him significantly better than other strong enchanters like Lulu, but it's still going to help somewhat.

I think it's fair to criticize the balance team for some decisions they may, as I said, sometimes they miss the mark, but people tend to point to a single choice and say 'this is the reason why the balance team should be criticized!' and ignore all the other changes that are uncontroversial.

The balance team usually hit the mark, Reddit just likes to amplify negative opinions and doesn't really talk about positive opinions.

I haven't played her yet, but I assume the increase in winrate to Akali was because she can now oneshot backline at level 9 again? That would explain the large bump

(not on the balance team, just a bad mid player)

I can't confirm or deny anything particular about how we ban bots, but the IFS will only give you a notification if your report was the thing that resulted in a ban. That's usually not going to be the case for botting for... complicated reasons.

That doesn't mean accounts don't get banned.

A large portion of sold accounts are accounts that have been compromised from their original owners and then sold. When you're buying an account, not only are you breaking the ToS (and we can identify if an account has changed hands), you're also likely buying an account off someone whose account was stolen from them.

Unfortunately, IP bans don't really work because your IP changes pretty often. They're not a good tool for stopping one specific person from doing something.

Make sure to report the name and it will get punished.

Personally I think it deserves an IP ban.

IP bans are not very effective, but I get what you mean.

OK, thank you. We're investigating this and I have no more information at this time, sorry :( Some players have reported that using a VPN resolves the issue for them.

Hi!

sorry for replying in English, but I can't speak Spanish and I don't trust Google Translate to keep the meaning correct.

We were seeing an outage about 30 minutes ago up until 20:04 UTC+1. Are you still having issues if you restart your client?
