Destiny is a game that is also owned by a big publisher, also free to play, and also has In game currency.
But even the most expensive in game cosmetic items that you can buy are $15 at most; and accompanied by the fact that you won’t have to spend more than the equivalent amount of money $1 = 100 silver to unlock it.
This is accompanied by the fact that nothing that’s paid for in real money is RNG. You want it? You buy it. No run around in the monetization.
As compared to let’s say collection events, where the asking price of an heirloom is 160$
That’s two new release AAA games right there.
Whereas destiny has expansions for 30-40$ maybe twice a year that add TONS of in game items for free, hours and hours of gameplay, new activities, and so on and so forth.
