Also sucks to see it leaving after the 3rd, I will probably stop playing again after that.

I can confirm Delta Arena will be sticking around. I'm told it will roll into Match Composer as it rotates out of the Featured slot.

Anyways cheers Brian.

You could camp your ass off, but your opponent can just capture the hill to win in that case. Nice forcing function.

Those were indeed good ole days. It was often chaos but, in a fun, and mostly wholesome way. I remember when we added the Flood to just give folks an official off-topic space to try and keep the main forums on topic. Eventually the Flood just became the wild west. Incredible to think we essentially had an entire social platform within Bnet where folks could create groups, have their own forums, their own news feed, etc. Big shout out to the Bungie Webmaster and our army of volunteer moderators that helped keep it all going. Nowadays it would be somewhat of a liability and compliance nightmare and would certainly take significantly more resources to operate.

Congrats! Super impressive and even though I wasn't an official judge this year, you would've been my pick. Just bummed I wasn't able to get a pic with you!

"Spartan Points" are just a "grind currency" you earn and then spend in the Exchange, which is basically a secondary "shop" that only deals in Spartan Points. You earn SP from doing daily/weekly challenges, completing tiers in the free operation pass, and as of today, you also get a little drip after every match you play.

Confirming the team is aware of this pesky bug. Seems to happen approx. 20% or less of the time. No ETA on a fix quite yet but it is flagged.

Personally, I've always preferred Objective over Slayer and yet I've always been in the minority. Feels bad. Going all the way back to Halo 2, Slayer has been exponentially more preferred than Obj and pretty much every Obj-centric playlist eventually died on the vine.
That said, I am excited for Match Composer functionality to come to Infinite so we can just choose to only search for Objective modes if we desire (just hope enough other people feel inclined to do the same!).

FWIW, I don't recall ever seeing this jacket (I was at Bungie back then). That doesn't mean it's not legitimate, it may very well be, but I'm pretty confident this was never created and given to us on the team (or I'd still have it / at least recognize it).
One hypothesis I have is that this was created by a team on the Xbox side - could have been from a team outside North America. It was very common for all sorts of sub-teams to make their own limited-edition swag.
Sorry I can't be of more assistance, but I really don't think I've ever seen this particular jacket before.

That's pretty much how it is. This is indeed technically "CU31" that's coming out tomorrow. "March Update" is just more digestible from a broad perspective, IMO, so we prob won't be leaning into "CUXX" as blog titles or the lead on social. "Content" in the "Content Update" is essentially anything that requires a client download (content is code, too, not just a map or cosmetic item) as opposed to the service-side updates we also perform regularly.
TLDR = call it whatever you want. There are multiple nomenclatures used internally, too. :)

I was fortunate to have a buddy who worked at Xbox at the time and he brought home a dev kit and a pre-release build of Halo:CE when the whole division was working to playtest and help with release readiness. This was probably a few months before it finally launched (can't remember exact timing). We played the hell out of campaign co-op all weekend and the rest is history! <3

I like the near-death-for-dramatic-effect before the cap. Nice work! I love Husky Raid. <3

I did reply to your Twitter post last night with a mention but I literally just made a Twitter account for that purpose so something may have gone wrong since I'm unfamiliar with the platform. Thanks for the free credits and yes I will definitely be getting the new battle pass that flood stuff looks sick.

I mentioned this in my Twitter reply but just in case you don't see it there, I haven't yet received my 343 banner and I was wondering how long it might take to register to my account. Not a big deal but I'm really looking forward to showing that off in game lol!

We all got back to the studio and went right into S5 launch mode so I reckon it may be a few days but thank you for the reminder, I'll poke at some folks and make sure we've got those gamertags in hand.

u/MagicSquirrel159 good to hear from you on the topic of "DLC Gate." I wasn't sure how to reach you but tried to share on Twitter/X that I meant no disrespect so I'm glad you didn't take it that way. "I feel some sense of guilt over the whole situation" - PLEASE don't think that for one second. You did nothing wrong whatsoever. If anything, I'm sorry I dragged you into this. I'm used to the heat, it comes with the job, but obviously I would've preferred my attempt at humorously dodging a hot topic had landed better.

That said, was great to meet you, thank you for coming to HaloWC, and GGs on winning the S5 playdate! Hope those credits go towards the free Battle Pass today and you have a great time with the team's latest release. Cheers!

Definitely a high priority and my understanding is that a resolution is in progress. I don't have an ETA at the moment but this and a few other issues are actively being worked on and targeted for release as soon as possible.

Finished it last night as well and gotta say it's been too long since I had a great multi-hour session with some friends. Chasm has really grown on me - had a number of super tense CTF maps and it's so nice having dual snipes in play. I am loving Escalation Slayer- team did a great job IMO. Being down a few tiers and holding off the enemy team as they're charging with Oddballs and coming back to tie and then have a final showdown was exhilarating as hell.

Edit: I have been mixing up Escalation Slayer calling it Extraction for months. I blame old age.

Appreciate the kind words and support here!
I want to also give a huge thank you and shout out to the 343 team who have been busting their butts to make meaningful improvements to the game. Winter Update and today's update are major steps in the right direction, and it wouldn't be possible without the perseverance of a bunch of folks across the studio who remain fully committed.
Onwards and upwards!
