ELI5: Rubberbanding?
This isn't 100% accurate, but it should help understanding.
For the purposes of this explanation:
When connections between two players (or a player and a server) are not good enough, a game may send 100% of data but the second player/server may only return 80% of data.
That means 20% of data is "lost".
As the game does not know what to do when this data is lost, it uses the last response received to estimate what should happen.
That may mean that the game forces a character in the direction of movement last received (because it is missing the inbetween information) and continues to do so until it receives data again. So the server will display the character as just running forward continuously, but on your local game everything might appear okay.

Yep - I believe that's on our to do list, though I'm unsure into which upcoming patch it will be integrated.
The pain transfer on the trickster with ultimate damage link mod is broken. I don't know if it's just the voodoo matchmaker gun itself, but it drops the game to about 2 frames per second. I don't know if you saw me report those big on the last one.
I saw this reported by someone else a short while ago, and have asked the team to check it.

Should we follow up with support regarding lost Mods and Resources if they now have the tools to replace them? I have not received a message other than "they were still working on a solution" in a few days.

Any chance you guys could buff shrapnel grenades a bit? I know you reduced the cooldown but i would have rather had the damage increaded. it be great to also have them hit a bit harder. Not saying its bad , but it doesnt feel "powerful" at times. Right now i do about 600K with each one. I feel if it was doing around 750K it be a huge difference in that power feeling. I got to play with a pyro on the team and the mines where dong around 900K each and it felt so great. Same with the Rocket launcher. Dont get me wrong the rocket launcher is alot better since you guys buffed it, but i personally feel its still a bit weak. Takes 3 shots to kill a trash mob most of the time.

If I remember correctly scrapnel grenade base damage buffs were part of our initial buff testing, but coupled with the CD reduction it may have been a bit much (at the time) - so that is something we did look into.
For Toxic Lead and Vampire Mag I had a look and I remember reporting this back in May - Multiplayer is a strange thing though in that packet loss may be a reason for these mods not consistently working as they should. That's just a theory though, so I'll give this a bump again.
Once this patch releases, I'd be keen to hear to hear which of these issues persist, as rubberbanding should be eased a lot with the patch.
I joined a lobby with a friend on Xbox one x for the first time last night. I'm typically a solo player and have virtually no performance issues, but when I played with my friend it was soo laggy and stuttering that when I would shoot enemies it show the dmg numbers, but their health bar wouldn't move at all. Not to mention everything looked like it was skating on ice when it moved.
Is this the normal multi-player experience or did I get a random fu*k stick?
Sounds like rubber-banding. How far away do you and your friend live? Across and ocean or closer by?
I would also recommend swapping whoever the host is, as the person with the fastest internet should ideally be the host.

The bug that's appearing since that patch, Is that every time I play Heart Of The Wild, and Archways of Enoch, towards the end of the expedition that has hordes of enemies just to clear it, the game will just crash and force closed the application. This been happening to me every time I play those two maps solo, or multi, that I just avoid playing those maps entirely on my Xbox Series X (I don't know if Playstation, and PC is experiencing these same issues). There's another bug that has been crashing the game from time-to-time. Accessing the shop, and hitting the X button for a preview of the gear. I think we may be looking into some performance issues around those areas, but the fact that you outright crash is unusual, as most other people would likely slow down. As the performance issue is likely being related to overuse of a hardware piece, under "normal" circumstances I think most people would slow down and stutter. If you're crashing however, it may be a case of overheated or degraded hardware or perhaps a local corruption. Have you tried reinstalling the game and made sure that your Xbox has enough ventilation and is dust free?
Ya know, I could have sworn this was happening to me repeatedly on my Pryomancer. All of a sudden my weapon would be switched and my Volcanic Rounds would deactivate. I decided I must have been inadvertently hitting the Triangle (switch weapon) button but now I'm not so sure. It just started happening last week too so why would I all of a sudden start hitting the Triangle button by mistake? Seems more like a bug after reading your post.
This sounds pretty odd and very difficult to replicate... Are you able to identify a consistent pattern of this happening? Something we can try a few times to force this to happen?

Didnt see it in the list, but using the T3 Armor Mod "Pain Transfer" with either T2 or the T3 "Damage Link" mod drastically reduces framerate. It truly is unplayable with either of these combos equipped.
T2/T3 Dmg Link works fine on its own, along with Pain Transfer working fine on its own. But NOT together.
Hope this can be fixed because it seems like a deadly combo

The DX12 were kicjing and screaming about isnt random. Just scan through the posts. Everything was fine for me before the pqtcht.
Also fyi hunt the prey bug isnt fixed yet despite the claim the previous patch
It's random in that it's not clear why it's affecting some people but not others and, so far, we haven't identified the root cause. It's also random in that different fixes work for different people.. to the extent that doing opposite things can help!
For some people, deleting the intro movie helps, for others restoring it helps. Wut?

For 1. - This isn't something I've come across before but I'd be keen to hear if other players have a similar experience with it? It's not on our radar, but I wouldn't want to disregard it if its a big problem for many players.
For 2 - we first want to see how these buffs will affect the meta and set usage, but we are teeing up a review of sets in future, just to see if there is anything obvious that needs to be done even after these buffs.
Thank you so much for the quick reply! I had made a couple posts about the "flashing red" effect when getting shot and saw a lot of people agreeing it was way too much causing a strobe effect and making it impossible to see after a while. Would love a way to turn this way down!

4 seconds is correct. Math is hard.
One small item to add to the Issues List:
The “Gifted” node in the middle class tree for the Pyro is currently not working. If you click on it and then view your Anomoly Power you’ll see that it doesn’t increase like it will with the other Gifted nodes. There’s a post on this issue from several hours ago (12-15hrs) by u/jjang_goo.

I’m wondering if this is something that applies to the mods or resources being lost. I finally got the seismic commander helmet for my devastator and broke it down as that was the last mod I needed. However when going to look for the mod it shows that it never gave it to me. This same thing happened on my techno as I broke down the torrential downpour chest as that was the last mod I needed for that character and it seems that I never received the...
Interesting to hear... Could you DM your gamer ID and what time and time zone you dismantled but didn't obtain the mod?
Disappointing that you still havent removed the awful gear score system, and replaced it with a real loot system.

as much as i appreciate the buffs, and fixes ( looking forward to finally run an FP Devastator with infinite golem) and even more nuking maps with my Ashblast Pyro,
FFS why do you take the equipped gear out of the reroll ?? i am missing the borealis crown on my techno, and i am getting so many duplicated pieces already except the crown ( yes i know that helmets are the rarest) , people are missing the first drop for most of the items they are looking for, and after the first drop the stuff is usually dropping like candy, so reducing the the chances to receive something unique to get another piece i already have with not even having the guarantee that it will have better stats ( which in general is not a game change) . i am waiting for all the posts whining
"i received now my 10th deathshield drop, but the FP is always lower than what i already have, and i am still not able to clear CT15s Solo Gold " is grinding my gears...
Based on the previous feedback received when we suggested the change, the majority of players appeared to be in favour of it. If it causes huge pain for everyone, it's something we can revise, but let's see how much it helps for now. There have, after all, been a few changes that sounded egregious on paper but actually turned out quite okay when experienced first hand in the game.
