Hello, lovely creatures of the night!

We just uploaded a new version of the game, which fixes the crashing issues that resulted from the earlier patch. You can update your game by verifying game files:

Steam > Right click on V Rising > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files

We believe that the crashing issues occurred because the configuration files got corrupted. We fixed this by forcing these corrupted files to be reset when launching the game. If your files were corrupted, you will notice that some of your configurations will have reset after this patch. Hopefully, this will fix the issues for all players who couldn't play the game anymore.

If you get any new issues, please report them here.

Thank you kindly for your patience!

Hello! We apologize for the issues experienced with today's patch. We are very grateful for how much you guys have tried to help us find solutions, sent us files and answered our questions. We will be uploading a new version of the game in approx. an hour which should fix the crashing issue that came with this new patch. In the meantime, you can try the following solutions:

-Verify game files on Steam. Steam > Right click on Battlerite > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files

-Restart your PC

-Deleting the ClientSettings.json file, which you can find by copy/paste this in your file browser:

%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings

After deleting it, please try launching the game again

I hope this helps at least some of you while we work on the new version!

This patch includes general client optimizations to improve stability and performance, as well as the changes from yesterday’s reverted hotfix. The last hotfix came with a white screen crash issue with some users, but we’ve investigated the issue and it shouldn’t occur any longer. We’ve also included significant additional adjustments.

The patch is expected to go live at 11:15 UTC on Official Servers, and there may be a small amount of downtime.

  • Added ‘Texture Quality’ to the ‘Graphics Options’ menu, which can greatly reduce texture memory usage.

  • Added FPS Limit Option to Advanced Graphics Options.

  • Changed Low-Quality Atmosphere to High-Quality Atmosphere to keep the options menu consistent.

  • Fixed a bug where the antialiasing option co...
