I think its more of a quality of life change more than a buff, they probably know hes one of the most picked controllers and probably did it because sometimes picking up spike and insta cancelling ult didnt work.
Pretty much. When making this change it was a discussion around:
"should we remove Omen's ability to pick up the spike with ultimate???" and I didn't really feel like that change was necessary as Omen's ult is pretty fair and niche anyways. It felt like a bug how you had to cancel the ability to do the thing you were intending to use the ability for in the first place.
This is a limitation of the current system :( we know it's not great and we have plans to fix this. We're trying to find the right time to fix this the right way instead of a bandaid fix. Essentially your team is seeded off your competitive rank so if your team continues to play in compet you won't reseed into the same division regardless of if you have the same players.
The door levers part is interesting. Maybe I’m not understanding the wording, but what is different about picking up the spike? You can already pick up the spike while in ult.
Unless they mean you don’t have to ult directly on top of it, and as long as you’re close you can look at it and press the interact button to pick it up?
The spike is now picked up as soon as the shade appears near the spike, rather than only being picked up once the ability is canceled.
But as you mentioned you can also press the Use key to pick it up if you're not directly on top of it, like a normal player can.
You can interact with other Press-F-To-Use items that don't involve your gun dropping, mainly door switches. (One exception: you can't ride ziplines in shade form still). But you can't do things like pick up Orbs, Rez KAY/O or plant/defuse, since you have to lower your weapon/ability in all of those cases.
i think its just so that picking it up is an intended feature, where before it was kind of a glitchy type thing with getting it as soon as you cancel
Yeah, this is pretty much the case. The Design team felt that some of the interactions (like needing to specifically cancel in order to pick up the spike) were unintuitive.
This also means that shooting an Omen's shade before they're able to cancel will now no longer deny picking up the Spike.

The glitchpop classic sounds like low ammo when firing in single round mode. Also most of the phantoms sounds weird

Can you send me a list of the Phantoms you noticed so I can see if we missed any (we have a bunch on our list of bugs right now)? What we have so far: Oni/Recon Phantom, Glitchpop Phantom, Prime2 Phantom, and Ion Phantom.
hey! this isnt a sound but theres a visual bug (not too important but is still annoying) with the blue variant of the neo frontier axe, im not sure about the other variants as i dont have them but an extra line (the knife movement outline thing?) appears when i right click (i can send a vid in dms if thats easier to understand im not really sure how to explain it but u should be able to notice it)

The sound of the sovereign ghost sounds like a default ghost now, the sound effect can barely be heard
Is it the firing sound? Kill sound?
I think the cryostasis vandal was affected, it sounds a lot more like the default vandal now. Also, the prime classic seems to have an higher pitched clicking sort of sound.
Which sounds? The firing sound is default so is it the kill sound? Other sounds?

I hope it didn't come off as offensive, I had no intention of hurting anyone's feelings :'( as an artist I always appreciate every kind of design and artwork within any medium.
Like I said, I absolutely love the Retrowave line, the Freehand line from a couple passes ago is also a skin I often choose over even bundle skins. I know the team is constantly working hard to bring new and exciting content and it shows. Valorant and Riot Games are by far the best in gaming right now, I'll die on that hill.

Green screen skins are actually quite cool. some of them are bad, but those few don't make all green screen skins terrible by default

The Orion skin set is one of my favorites in the game and I’m sad it doesn’t have animations, styles, or a finisher.

I will never unequip my spline specter. I do actually like it but at this point it's out of spite given how much hate it gets. I will love the ugly blob baby for as long as I live. Should it be cheaper tho? Probably.
