Your border will grow over time, but there is currently no other content or currency associated with the number going up

Is the leveling system going to be added to the process of making a comp ready account?
Similar to games like Siege and LoL, making a certain level a requirement to play comp would go a long way to reducing smurfs in contrast to the current 10 wins in unrated requirement.

At feature launch, this will be independent from Competitive. I don't know if there are plans one way or another around a model like League.

Thanks for the communication! Only thing I can give you currently is that I am on Win 10.

Thanks! If you type "WinVer" into the windows search bar (windows key + WinVer) it will run a command and show you your exact version

Hey, just poking in here to say we're actively investigating stuttering in the game. Specifically, what we've observed is players reporting that they get severe stuttering, which looks like loss of inputs, jumping around a bit, rubberbanding, etc. as folks have described in this thread. We're looking at this happening on a variety of hardware (high to low end), and happening during GOOD networking conditions, so we do not think that it's related to packet loss / latency. Anything along those lines would be a separate issue.

Information that would be useful to have, if folks want to help out:

  • Video/images showing resource utilization while the stuttering happens.

  • If anyone is able to consistently reproduce, information about reproduction steps and dxdiag of the PC used to reproduce. BONUS if you're able to reproduce on different machines.

  • WinVer of anyone experiencing the issue.

Yes and no. We're granting players a flat amount for each match played before the feature launched. We definitely wanted to recognize players that have invested time into the game. However, the amount is not based on match duration or first wins of the day.

By winning Masters: Reykjavik, Sentinels put the rest of the VALORANT Champions Tour on notice: North America is a force to be reckoned with. Now, the champions of Iceland must fight to defend their crown amid a loaded region, packed with NA teams eager to show their quality on the international stage. The road to Berlin is long, and time is short.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2021 VCT Stage 3 — Challengers North America:

Stage Overview

The VALORANT Champions Tour is a year-long global circuit featuring three tiers of competition (Challengers, Masters, and Champions) across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The VCT consists of three stages, the first two of which have been completed by each region. We are now entering VCT Stage 3, which will conclude during September’s international VCT Stage 3 — Masters tournament held in Berlin, Germany.

Isn't this encroaching on the roles you guys had in mind for duelists vs. initiators? In this interview https://youtu.be/wjAGbl6kKnI?t=1425 you guys say that the intention is for duelists to have shorter debuff times against enemies but faster re-equip times, whereas initiators would have longer debuff times but longer re-equip times with the intention that they'd need a teammate to capitalize. Now it seems like if a team needs a flash agent, I can easily just play Breach or Skye and make plays for myself with longer flashes in comparison to duelists, plus this new lower re-requip time. This seems like it has potential to be "abused" in both ranked as well as competitive pro play.

It’s a bit of a newer development, for sure. Duelists still tend to have a lot more capability to heal up after engagements or deny trades to secure more advantaged fights over a round, whereas initiators bring a broader spread or larger volume of raw utility. It’s something we still talk about a lot, but feel these versions of breach and Skye will also be easier to balance across competitive environments overall.

Now I understand what you meant by initiators being more self-sufficient! These are great changes. Did Breach get similar love?

Yup! Breach got a similar treatment. Fewer flashes, but a faster re-equip.

There are two main things - she equips out of her bent birds faster, and if she lets a bird fly straight she can pop the flash without taking her gun down. In either case, she’s better at capitalizing off of her flashes than she used to be.
