We did not install Microsoft Edge - the browser - to your PC. It is a runtime.

Thank you for your detailed report. I understand you’ve disabled the Steam Overlay, and do not play with mods, which is something we’ve been asking players to try.

There is no need to uninstall Microsoft Edge, as what was installed is merely a runtime (and not the Edge browser itself). If you think the runtime is causing issues, you could try our ‘Launcher Workaround’ by:

1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library
2. Select ‘Properties’
3. Select the ‘Betas’ tab
4. In the dropdown, select ‘Temporary Launcher Workaround’
5. Restart Steam
6. Launch Vermintide 2
7. Select the ‘Bypass Launcher’ option
8. Click ‘Play’

I understand some of you have already exhausted these options and more. But can anybody else please see if there is any improvement in your issue after:

Disable the Steam Overlay

1. Open the Steam client
2. Select ‘Steam’ in the upper left-hand corner
3. Select ‘Settings’
4. Select ‘In-Game’
5. Deselect the ‘Enable the Steam overlay while in-game’ checkbox
6. Save your changes
7. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

Disable any mods

1. Open the Vermintide 2 launcher
2. Select ‘Mods’
3. Deselect all mods
4. Save your changes
5. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

We’re aware some players have experienced a substantial drop in performance with the release of the Warrior Priest career. We understand some of these cases are due to the Steam Overlay, and/or mods. Please:

Disable the Steam Overlay

1. Open the Steam client
2. Select ‘Steam’ in the upper left-hand corner
3. Select ‘Settings’
4. Select ‘In-Game’
5. Deselect the ‘Enable the Steam overlay while in-game’ checkbox
6. Save your changes
7. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

Disable any mods

1. Open the Vermintide 2 launcher
2. Select ‘Mods’
3. Deselect all mods
4. Save your changes
5. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

Hmmm, okay. Try this, then I will contact Easy Anti-Cheat if unsuccessful:

1. Open the Command Prompt as an administrator
2. Enter the command:
   services.msc
3. Locate Easy Anti-Cheat within the list and double-click it
4. Change ‘Startup Type’ to ‘Manual’
5. Save the changes

It may already be set to ‘Manual’, in which case let me know.

Gonna move this to bugs and raise the ticket internally, doesn’t seem intended for the crosshair to be in play. The tab menu is likely an oversight, however. Maybe it’ll be changed or maybe not. I wouldn’t bet on it being changed however, at least not soon, as there are probably bigger fish to fry.

This is to be addressed in our next patch. If it helps, I can remove all Deeds from a player’s inventory (only all of them, as opposed to a selected amount, due to limitations in our backend )

Sorry to hear this. Some questions:

1. Are you playing with mods, and if so does the issue persist with them disabled?
2. Do you happen to have the SteelSeries Engine installed?
3. Are you playing on a Ryzen CPU?

It doesn’t look like Easy Anti-Cheat is installed. Please install Easy Anti-Cheat using the EasyAntiCheat_Setup installer located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat

I believe I have recently responded to your post in the Steam discussions.

Stability and Localisation

• Improved localization
• Fix crash when opening the playerlist while in a deed
• Fixed crash when player hits a dead actor with a melee weapon
• Fixed crash when always blocking boon is picked up or gets disabled while new weapon is loading in

Levels

• Into the Nest: Fixed an issue where players could get left behind in Into the Nest when two players pulled the lever at the same time (sometimes resulting in crash at the end of the elevator trip).

UI/UX

• Fixed minor graphical issues in store rotation

General

• Warrior Priest’s ‘Implacable’ should now work as expected.
• Revives from the Warrior Priest’s ‘The Comet’s Gift’ talent now count in the scoreboard.
• Ironbreaker’s ‘Gromril Armor’ should now refresh on clients...

This is the drawing tablet indeed, I actually spoke with Easy Anti-Cheat about this back in August and they unblocked it. However, it sounds like it’s since resurfaced, how annoying!

Are you able to send us a copy of the DLL at [email protected], so I can then pass it on to Easy Anti-Cheat for review?
