Looks like Steam went down last night, sorry for that. Should be solved now though!

In cases where the errors continue to occur even after using the Verify Integrity of Game Files option, we consider it to be persistent data corruption - which can unfortunately occur for a number of reasons.

We have a list of solutions in the article here, which we’ve created based on what’s worked for players in the past: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021425793--PC-How-to-Resolve-Data-Corruption-Errors

Sorry about this. I’ve passed the .dmp’s over to Easy Anti-Cheat, in hopes that they can advise on how to proceed with this.

Seems to be okay now, is that right @tommiecookie?

I had this.

What I did was change my graphics and hit “restart later/continue” or whatever the option was to not restart, and then quit the game manually.

The last couple of weeks have been shorter due to public holidays. Sometimes I can’t just write updates alone and need some input from others so I’d rather not put an update out than put out a nothingburger update.

Please have him try:

  • Switching to DirectX 11
  • Lowering his ‘Worker Thread’ count to 6

Both can be done within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu.

It’s hard to know, have you had problems with your hardware in the past?

Your crashes aren’t very descriptive unfortunately, so it is somewhat of a shot in the dark.

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to look up any of his crashes. Could he please upload his most recent console logs instead?:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Could you PM me your PSN ID, please?

I am actually already in communication with Easy Anti-Cheat regarding this error, as a couple of other players have reported it also. This was the response received from Easy Anti-Cheat:

If you’re in touch with some affected users, could you have one or two of them try enabling the Windows “small memory dump” setting and providing the file created after a blue screen in C:\Windows\Minidump to us?

Sorry we weren’t able to help you last time. I think in this case it’s best that you reach out to Easy Anti-Cheat directly: https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/tech/

I’d recommend that you include a copy of the problematic DLL.

Try either:

  • Switching to DirectX 11
  • Lowering your ‘Worker Thread’ count to 6

Both can be done within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu!

Sorry to hear that. :frowning:

There’s no overheating, no? The CPU is also stable? I ask as occasionally, an overheating CPU can also produce GPU-related errors, bizarrely.

Otherwise, I’m happy to contact Steam and request that they issue you a refund.

We know about this and have fixed it internally. It still needs a little more testing before patching but we’re on it
