Is this of any relevance? Some players with Bluetooth connected headsets have had success with this: Fix for bluetooth headphones or speaker using hands-free audio when you only want normal audio output, not hands free

Ahh, in this scenario, I suggest to try the following again -

• Remove the Easy Anti-Cheat Certificates & Install/Repair Easy Anti-Cheat:
  1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Delete the ‘Certificates’ directory
  3. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat
  4. Run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup installer and proceed as instructed
  5. Then use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360021233534

If this doesn’t work, then next please try a clean re-installation of Vermintide 2.

0xc000005 is a generic error code, however the Access Violation crashes which share this can be entirely different.

We’re aware of and investigating several varied Access Violation crashes currently. If you can please provide a crash report, or your full console log from a session one occurs we can look into it, and make sure it’s one on our radar.

Ensure you have added the game to your anti-virus whitelisting

You can also try disabling your anti-virus entirely

You may be able to work around this in the mean time by deleting Darktide’s AppData, but be aware this will reset your keybindings and any other custom options.

This should be resolved now! If anyone runs into this again please let us know.

@Smite, thanks for that! The logs indicate something may be conflicting with Easy Anti-Cheat, and based on the error code this is usually Anti-Virus/Firewall related. Please ensure you have appropriate exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat. If the issue persists, can you try disabling your Anti-Virus and see if this works?
