Been playing this game for a bit now on PC ever since the new season I keep getting connection errors. I tried closing the game and even uninstalling but it keeps happening I also recently got a new ethernet cord but that shouldn't be a problem right? Just looking to see if people are having the same problems or how I can fix this issue thanks.

Hi folks, looks like there were some lag issues as we scaled up for the update but they should be resolved in the next few minutes. Posting about it shortly.

Hey, apologies for not seeing your thread sooner.

We have seen an increase of connectivity issue reports since Operation Shadow Legacy, and we're currently investigating.

Please answer the following as best you can -

- Error code:
- Platform: PC
- At what date / time did you first notice this issue:
- Region:
- Internet Service Provider:
- Wired / Ethernet: Ethernet
- What are you doing before the issue occurs:
- UPID:


This will help me understand if this is a currently known issue, or if we can resolve this with some troubleshooting.

We're seeing server stability but are still waiting to hear back from AWS on the cause. If you experience disconnections and difficulties connecting to the server again, please submit a ticket as well so can gather your information.

Hey @snarling23,

 

This is something we're still investigating, but in some cases removing any animated banners you have equipped can help out as a temporary workaround.

 

It may be worth checking through the characters you play and swapping to a common or rare banner to see if that stops these freezes for you in the meantime.

Hi @d2bala,

Sorry to hear this.

There aren’t any well known offendors that I can mention unfortunately, it tends to vary a lot!

What I can suggest though is to try the following -

Perform a ‘Selective Startup’, which can help to identify if a background application is the cause:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

If the issue no longer persists after having performed the Selective Startup, you will need to re-enable each of your usual background applications one-by-one until it reoccurs, to determine which is the culprit.

Sometimes Anti-Virus/Firewall can also be an issue. Please ensure you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat:
You’ll need to add the following:

  • vermintide2.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
  • vermintide2_dx12.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12
  • EasyAntiCheat.exe in \Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
