Yep, the roll back didn’t help everyone. Some folks reported reparing EAC from the game installation directory can help. The process is found here, and we’ll keep updating that page as we find out more.

Hey folks! We’re looking in to this one. Seems some funk between Steam itself and EAC, Steam did a rollback of an update noting EAC as a reason. We’re seeing what we need to do (or can do) on our side to see this resolved ASAP.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for the trouble caused.

Hi @crofft,

Could you be playing on ‘Modded’ realm instead of ‘Official’ realm?

As experience is not earned while playing on Modded. This can be set from the Vermintide 2 launcher.

Thank you for the logs. Forgot to ask in my original reply, but do you recall what the blue screen error was?

Could you share more information on when these errors occur (on launch, when attempting to connect to somebody, when loading in to a map, etc.)? It would also be helpful if you could screenshot the error being displayed.

It does unfortunately appear that your GPU is crashing. We’re seeing more of these since the latest NVIDIA update, perhaps there’s a correlation - rolling back to an older driver version may be needed for the time being.

Otherwise, please see: [PC] How to Resolve GPU Crashes – Fatshark

Hello, I see you’ve mentioned logs but nothing appears to be attached. Could you please upload your most recent console logs, or a crash report?: [PC] How to Provide a Crash Report or Console Log – Fatshark

Oops! Thank you for letting us know, it’s now in our database!

Hey Franz! The most recent player I spoke to with this issue identified that his PC had a virus. So, that’s worth looking in to.

It is also the expected behaviour to not be able to open chests or complete Okri’s Challenges in the ‘Modded’ realm, to prevent exploitation.

Hi @johnox97,

It appears to be a non-descript Access Violation crash, which can occur for a number of reasons. Unfortunately we can’t determine the exact cause from the crash data alone.

I recommend running through our general ‘go to’ solutions, and hopefully the cause can be indentified by a process of elimination.

Hmm, still the same driver error. @Honk could you perhaps try rolling back to an older driver version?

Sorry to hear that. There’s no obvious reason for this crash, does it happen regularly?

Comment

Hi @Honk,

The following error indicates a problem with your GPU drivers.

DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR

I appreciate that you performed a clean driver install already, but in this instance I recommend to try doing this again.

Thanks @Renraku! I’ve added the VT1 hero skins to your inventory - you should see them the next time you restart the game

Comment

Hi @Renraku,

Sorry about that. Could you please message me with your Steam Profile URL and I’ll take a look at this.

Sorry to hear you’re having such a bad time with this. It sounds like you’ve exhausted all of our usual recommendations so I’ve asked development if they have any input and will report back to you.

In the crash data I see a GPU-related error, which perhaps explains your issues with desaturation. I recommend having a look here: [PC] How to Resolve GPU Crashes – Fatshark

Thank you for your report! Looking at our database, I can see this will be remedied in our next patch.
