In October 1954, 66 years ago, the CL-13B Mk.6 made its first flight. The CL-13B was a Canadian license built version of the F-86. The first one for Germany arrived in 1959 when the highest scoring ace of all time, Erich Hartmann, personally landed it in Germany to his unit.

In October 1970, 50 years ago, the Fiat G.91 YS made its first flight. The G.91 YS was a redesign of the original G.91, mainly featuring another engine as well as many other changes. The YS saw no combat, and the 65 used by the Italian Air Force operated until 1994.

70 years ago, the T-54 (1949) first appeared. After 1,490 modifications during early production, the T-54 went on to become the most produced tank in military history. The 1949 remodel had reduced frontal hull armor but an improved turret that eliminated previous shot traps.

Today, 75 years ago, the prototype of the Sea Fury FB 11 first flew. It was a fighter-bomber variant of the Sea Fury: the last prop-driven fighter of the Royal Navy. The Sea Fury served during the Korean War where it rose to fame when it shot down an enemy MiG-15 jet fighter.

@MechaNick767 Kinda: In some cases, they would aim at the ground in front of a tank and it got fixed, they should be good now. Of course, missiles are never 100% accurate and it's still possible to miss in challenging situations (eg fast moving tanks), but that's normal.
