If you’re still not testing the PTR (Public Test Realm) with us, and you want to, we’ve made it easy to get started. Just follow these steps:

CREATE A PTR ACCOUNT:

• Log in to Blizzard Account Management.
• Select Games and Subscriptions.
• In the Starter Editions & Public Test Regions section, select Create PTR Account.
• Click the Create Account button.

JOIN THE PTR:

• Open the Blizzard Battle.net App and select World of Warcraft Classic from your Games list.

The 2.5.3 PTR will remain up and available for non-raid testing for the next few days.

I’ve updated the OP here. I had percentages on the gem. Correctly:

• Mind Quickening Gem now provides 100 Haste Rating (was 330).

Season 3 will begin with the weekly reset the week of January 17.

Looking back at Season 2, we’ve analyzed the queue data and found that some queue times are taking longer than we’d like to see. To address this, in Season 3:

• The range of possible opponents will be expanded. This will help match players of different matchmaking levels more quickly. As before, teams with similar ratings who queue at the same will be prioritized to match against each other.

Additionally, we’re making the following changes:

• After their extended vacations, Fiora Longears has returned to the docks of Auberdine and Ambassador Dawnsinger has returned to her post in Grommash Hold.

It looks like that item should say it requires “Elite”, not “Gladiator”.

This will be fixed in an upcoming build of the PTR.

A hotfix recently went live to remove the reputation requirement for testing. Thanks for letting us know!

• Fixed a bug preventing dialogue options from working correctly in several quests that offer replacement quest items from the quest giver, such as “The Hawk’s Essence”.

Hello everyone! Here’s what you can find in today’s PTR update:

CLASSES

• Death Knight
  • Abomination Limb (Necrolord Ability) damage increased by 20%.
  • Abomination’s Frenzy (Necrolord Runecarving Power) now increases enemy damage taken from the Death Knight by 20% (was 10%), and enemies affected by Abomination’s Frenzy now also take increased damage from your Minions for the duration.
  • Convocation of the Dead (Conduit) now reduces the cooldown of Apocalypse by 1 second per Festering Wound burst at all ranks and now also increases Festering Wound damage by 15%.
  • Eternal Hunger (Conduit) increases Minion damage by 6% (was 3%).
  • Embrace Death (Conduit) causes Sudden Doom to increase Death Coil damage by 40% (was 35%).
  • Brutal Grasp (Conduit) increases Abomination Limb damage by 30% (was 15%).

We’ve posted the schedule for the next two weeks of raid testing here. As mentioned in Zahko’s reply above, there is the possibility that the schedule could change as we get closer to the day of testing, but we hope the advance notice helps with planning your raid groups.

As everyone gets used to the earlier raid testing announcement process, please let us know if you have additional feedback and if you’re enjoying the change.

A request was brought up in the WoW Community Council about posting raid testing times with more advance notice so guilds can have more time to plan their groups – especially for other regions outside of the Americas. We understand the value in having more advance notice, even if a variety of aspects could change with the raid tests, so we wanted to try posting the schedule a few weeks in advance to see how that works for all of you.
