Thanks to everyone who came out and tested Karazhan with us, especially those who took the time to submit feedback and in-game bug reports.

There were indeed a number of bugs that we’re working through. In particular, we’ve identified several areas where our intended first phase encounter settings weren’t being applied properly in the Beta.

Again, thank you very much!

Looking forward, Season 2 Duelist gear will be item level 246 baseline, and it will scale up to ilvl 259 in PvP. At the same time, Mythic gear from the Sanctum of Domination raid and Vault rewards from Season 2 Mythic Keystone 14+ will be item level 252.

In Shadowlands, we’ve been happy to see that the reintroduction of Honor, Conquest, and PvP gear vendors has been well-received by players. Nonetheless, we feel that there is still room for improvement. One piece of feedback we’ve heard repeatedly is that PvP gear needs something special for it to stand apart in PvP specific situations.

In an upcoming build of the Chains of Domination PTR, you will notice that all Season 2 PvP items have +13 item levels in PvP. This means that in PvP situations (such as battlegrounds, arenas, and war mode), the power of these items will increase by 13 item levels. Along with this, the baseline item level of these items will be reduced by 6 from where it would have otherwise been.

If this arrangement had been in place during Shadowlands Season 1, Duelist gear would have had a baseline item level of 220 and would have scaled up to item level 233 in Season 1 PvP.

What we want here is for the different endgame sources of gear to be ...

After we experienced and fixed some issues early in today’s test, we’ve decided to leave Badge of Justice, the raid testing realm, up overnight until our next raid testing period tomorrow. Karazhan should remain open and available for testing until 2:00 p.m. PDT tomorrow (April 14).

Here’s an update on what testers will find on Badge of Justice.

  • All class templates should now have relevant gear for each spec. While some of this gear is not perfectly optimized, we intend to test with gear that a relatively new level 70 player should be able to obtain before venturing into Karazhan.
  • Flaskataur is present, and:
    • Sells reagents, consumables, and some specific gear items.
    • Teaches professions.
    • Grants Outland reputations which you can use to additionally obtain and test reputation items from reputation vendors all around Outland.
  • Mrs. Flaskataur is present and:
    • Sells gems and enchants.
  • ...

Thank you for testing the World of Warcraft: Chains of Domination PTR with us! For years now, our development and quality assurance teams have worked to make bug reporting much more effective and efficient in our World of Warcraft test environments. This has been accomplished by vastly expanding our tools and methods to utilize in-game bug reports.

If you encounter any bug or issue to report while testing Chains of Domination, please activate the in-game bug report tool and tell us about it.

SUBMITTING AN IN-GAME BUG REPORT

Whenever you mouse over any Creature, NPC, Item, Achievement, or Spell in the game, you should see blue text at the bottom of the tooltip that reads “Press F6 to submit a bug for this Item”.

Since we increased Anima drops a few weeks ago, we’ve seen a lot of feedback that obtaining Anima still feels as though it becomes too difficult as you progress into the later tiers of the features of your Covenant. We don’t want players to feel as though spending 10,000 Anima on a feature upgrade is ever the wrong thing to do. The heroes of Azeroth have made a great impact in the Shadowlands, and continuously defeating the Jailer’s forces should make Anima more plentiful.

With hotfixes that have just gone live in all regions,

  • Three new Achievements have been added for upgrading all four of your Covenant Sanctum features to tiers 1, 2, and 3.
  • Anima rewards now scale upward when you earn each new Achievement for unlocking a tier on all four of the features in your Covenant Sanctum.

Now, when you upgrade all of your Covenant features (the Adventures system, transportation network, Anima conductor, and Queen’s Conservatory/Ember Court/Path of ...
