In the Visions of N’Zoth PTR, we’re removing what we called the “infinite” at Heart Level 85. It was intended to allowing for an open-ended increase to Corruption resistance.

We’ve heard a lot of feedback from players, and we agree, that there’s value in being able to reach a point where you’re essentially done with Artifact Power.

  • Increasing the Artifact Level of the Heart after unlocking its final Stamina node will continue to increase the Heart of Azeroth’s item level by 2 per step, but otherwise, major progression will end at Artifact Level 80.

To complement this, we’re adding an item in Visions of N’Zoth that players will earn once they’ve upgraded their legendary cloak to its maximum potential via Horrific Visions or from defeating N’Zoth on Normal, Heroic, or Mythic difficulty, or from fully completing a Horrific Vision with at least one Mask active. This item will fortify the cloak, adding additional Corruption Resistance and allowing player...

In Battle for Azeroth Season 4, the maximum stats on rewards from Mythic Keystone dungeons will be increasing, with item level continuing to improve up through Mythic 15. Completing a Mythic 15 dungeon in Season 4 will award item level 475 gear in the weekly chest (this is equal to Mythic raid quality), and the maximum end-of-run reward will be iLvl 465.

With this change, we seek to better calibrate rewards to the difficulty of high-end Mythic Keystone dungeons, as well as to ensure that in the absence of the random chance for Warforged/Titanforged gear in Season 4, players still have an opportunity to earn rewards from the Mythic Keystone Dungeon system that are equivalent to high-end raiding and PvP loot.

I’ve added the following to the OP:

  • Monk
    • Mistweaver
      • Rising Mist healing increased 33% …
  • Paladin
    • Holy
      • Glimmer of Light (Azerite Trait) healing reduced 12% …
  • Priest
    • Discipline
      • Purge the Wicked damage reduced 10%.
      • Power Word:Solace damage reduced 10%.
      • Shadow Word: Pain damage reduced 9%.

In the case of Rising Mist, we’re now testing a 33% healing increase, and we were previously testing a 66% healing increase.

With Shadow Word: Pain, we were already testing this change for Shadow only, and we’ve now added the change to Discipline.

We’ll do our best to make sure older Achievements are still able to be completed after the changes, even if that means we need to change some of the Tanaan Jungle, Argus, and Battle for Azeroth pet battle challenges to make them somewhat easier.

I think it’s also worth noting that the sample future changes I listed in the OP were the most-impactful examples we’ve thought of. I’m sure we’ll also take this opportunity to find pets/abilities/combos that we can buff at the same time.

About 14 hours ago, we deployed a hotfix that should have addressed Vanish.

Basically, Vanish should cause enemies to drop target, and we had a bug that was preventing them from dropping target. We fixed the bug.

There are still intended conditions in which enemies can “see through” Vanish, of course. (Example: the Bloodhounds in BRD)

As this hotfix required server restarts to take effect, we expect that it is now working as intended on realms in the Americas, and will be picked up with maintenance tomorrow in Europe.

Hello pet battlers!

We’ve seen some discussion around pet battle changes coming in Visions of N’Zoth, and we’d like to discuss those, as well as changes we currently have planned for a future content update.

The Weather Outside is Fight-ful

Weather effects have always been intended to slightly change the rules of pet battles. Sandstorm is great against pets that do weaker attacks, Sunlight is great for healing abilities, and Cleansing Rain is great for aquatic abilities. However, Mudslide and Blizzard both fell by the wayside in terms of being impactful or rule-changing outcomes. So in Visions of N’Zoth, both of these weather effects are being updated with new added effects in addition to their existing effects:

  • Blizzard
    • Now also increases all elemental ability damage by 25%.
  • Mudslide
    • Now also increases all critical damage dealt by 25%.

Hello.

I can confirm that we had a bug with the display in-game. We believe that it was just a display issue, and should be repaired during the next daily reset.

Thank you for the reports!

Yes. The Gorgeous title will remain earnable.

In Visions of N’Zoth, we’re updating the Master of Deepwind Gorge achievement to require three achievements that can be earned in the new Deepwind Gorge.

On Friday, November 15, starting at 10:00 a.m. PST, join us on the Broxigar realm in the Visions of N’Zoth PTR for two updated PvP experiences. We’re going to playtest:

Deepwind Gorge Redesigned
In Visions of N’Zoth, Deepwind Gorge has been redesigned. It’s now a capture-point map with five nodes to fight over.

For this playtest, log into the PTR and open Group Finder (default hotkey: i), then switch to the Player vs. Player tab on the bottom of the window and queue for a quick match in the Specific Battleground Deepwind Gorge .

After you’ve gorged on Deepwind, please return here and look for our feedback thread.

Teeming Islands Brawl
These are 10v10 PvP Islands that you can queue for as a Brawl. All appropriate rewards from doing Islands are available, so you can finish both the Brawl weekly and your Island weekly for Azerite in this one.

The map selection will only be the larger islands. For this...

Correct. We’re able to turn on content such as Dire Maul or World Bosses without having to change the game client and require downtime the way a patch does.

Sorry for the confusion.

In the Visions of N’Zoth PTR, testers will soon see initial changes that we’re making to improve how brightly-glowing eyes look on many player-characters. In today’s build, this will be noticeable for Blood Elves, Night Elves, and all races of Death Knights.

As we discussed at BlizzCon, we are bringing many new customization options to player-characters in Shadowlands, and this is an early step that we’re taking to lay groundwork for updating this particular look.

We expect to update brightly-glowing eyes further in future builds of the Visions of N’Zoth PTR.

Thank you for your testing and feedback!

Yes – the Keyring will come to WoW Classic with our first patch to the game client later this year.

We don’t yet have a certain date for the patch, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
