A new content update for World of Warcraft is in development and will soon be available on the Public Test Realms (PTR). While not all features will be fully functional and available for testing, here’s a look at some of the new content coming in this version.

We’re getting closer to end of the 2019 AWC Summer Season, which means the open registration opportunities to qualify to the Summer Finals and Global Finals at BlizzCon are nearly over.

Update: This hotfix went live at 10:40 a.m. PDT

We have a hotfix in testing that we intend to apply to change the Queen Azshara encounter tomorrow morning (PDT):

• Queen Azshara’s minions Berserk at the beginning of Phase 4 of the encounter on Mythic difficulty. Phase 3 now ends automatically after 3 minutes (was 2 minutes).

We’ll confirm when the hotfix is ready and going live tomorrow morning.

We’re working on a hotfix today that will cause all tank specializations to now generate additional threat, via increases granted at each of the three Essence slot unlocks.

At each of the three Essence slot unlocks, damage-dealing specializations are gaining an increase in their damage output that is substantial enough to sometimes unintentionally disrupt tanking. This change should keep threat generation, relative to DPS, on par with where it was earlier in the expansion.

We’re working on a change to the Arcane Heart Azerite Trait that was introduced in Rise of Azshara. How it works today is:

Arcane Heart gives you a buff for every 1.5 million damage or healing you do. However, damage or healing that comes from something other than you casting a spell is not counted. For example, a Blood Death Knight doing healing from Death Strike isn’t benefitting from that healing counting to the next proc of Arcane Heart.

So we’re developing a fix for that. Currently, the change looks like this:
