As announced on Devstream 181, we’re improving the login experience for users that launch Warframe from Steam with the introduction of Account Binding and Auto-Login in the Koumei & The Five Fates update!

This is accurate at the time of writing, if there are any changes they will be reflected in the Koumei & The Five Fates update patch notes.

Account Binding Account Binding allows a Warframe account to bind to a Steam account, so that upon launching Warframe from Steam you do not need to input your credentials to log in. Instead, clicking the “Login With Steam” button will log you right into the game and bypass this step!


What to Expect: After Koumei & The Five Fates goes live, when you launch Warframe from Steam and click the “Login With Steam” button you will be prompted to bind your Steam account to either:

Devstream 181 was broadcast live from the Event Stage at Tokyo Game Show 2024 and included the full reveal of our next update, Koumei & the Five Fates (along with the release date of next week on October 2!). Heir to the twin kingdoms of Tau and Sol, Caliban debuted during The New War as the very first Sentient-Warframe hybrid. True to his origins, he's recently undergone a number of dramatic adaptations for improved playability that every Tenno should know about:

Get ready to be whisked away to 1999, Tenno! Starting on October 16, you'll have a chance to enter Höllvania and experience a short preview of Warframe: 1999 in our playable demo!

In this taste of the new update, you'll play as Arthur and explore the streets of Höllvania, ride your Atomicycle, fire off the AX-52 and take down the militant Scaldra patrolling the streets in a special Exterminate Mission to get a feel for the 20th century city where Warframe: 1999 takes place.

Completing the demo will also award you with the Protokol Longsword Skin, letting you borrow the look of Arthur's signature melee Weapon to slice and dice your way through the rest of your Warframe Missions!
