Hey Koogus,

Premium camouflage for high tiers is not a must but definitely recommended. The premium camouflage helps with a lot of things: offset of costs, gives more XP and credits. You combine this with signal flags and you will be rolling in XP/credits in no time (of course that is play based) =). There will be times when you are not running a perma-flages like CBs where you might want to run a camouflage that gives you even more bonuses.

This of course comes down to personal preference and the ability to acquire these permaflages =).

Please recall, that just because something wasn't physically built doesn't mean there isn't history behind its design :) This article does a great job of detailing the history behind the designs and the ships intended purpose.

Thank you all for your feedback on this initiative.

We understand it wasn't the most favorable those with limited twitch usage, any comments will help us for future similar campaigns.

Heyo Captains,

I can assure you we do not sell onward any of your personal data or responses.

We periodically release these surveys to gain knowledge of mutual interest points of our players to consider additional avenues to advertise on.

Thank you for taking the time to fill them out if you have.

Heyo Captains,

As many others have mentioned there could be many things contributing to this phenomenon. Firstly lets take a look at the Ranger:

Here is my Ranger's concealment with a 19p captain with concealment expert: 12.4km detectability.

Based on the information given, I would make the guess that another friendly ship/plane is detecting the Ranger periodically which is just so happening to be when you go into binocular mode.

If you could provide the replay from this game (Look in: C:\Games\World_of_Warships_NA\replays ) I will be able to tell you exactly what is occuring :)

Which Tier VII cruiser would you take into battle: Yorck or Shchors?

The German Navy Yorck cruiser boasts good firepower, maneuverability, and is capable of mounting hydro-acoustics for advanced warning for torpedoes.

The Soviet cruiser Shchors also boasted excellent maneuverability and firepower but also had the increased ability to set its targets on fire.

Between the Yorck or the Shchors, which one would get the upper hand in this toss up?

Hey Herr_Reitz,

This is a good topic to discuss because using strategy in random battles is a good thing (doesn't always work out).

Many of the things that you have posted are good tips for players of all skill levels. Let us go over some of them.

Mini-map awareness is important! Learning this is one of the pillars of the game IMO.

"Full broadsides to the reds", this is the skill of learning to angle. This is very important in BBs and cruisers to mitigate damage.

When it comes to random battles strategies work some of the time! That is part of the joy of randoms, you cannot predict what your team or the enemy team is going to do. My advice to you captains, is to learn from your mistakes and get better individually. If you make it a point to get better at the game yourself, the other things tend to fall in line. You can do more damage, get more kills and ultimately get more wins. Granted there will...

While it would be awesome to be able to do this, this would involve us cataloging every piece of feedback to us, finding it when a decision is made, and then referring back to, this would be... a massive time sink, which with current resources we simply couldn't commit to. We'd much rather use the time to correlate the feedback and pass it onward. Furthermore, typically changes are developed from feedback from multiple sources across multiple avenues, its not really possible to loop back on certain things.

I will say, there is always room for improvement, but as a whole in comparison to other products/games, we are extremely proud of the amount of information we provide our players in regards to the future of the game and what changes are coming ahead of time. While we have many programs in place (Dev Blog, ST program, and CC programs previews to name a few) we cannot simply show all our cards all the time for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the reasoning b...

I can confirm we DO NOT sell player information. While we do do surveys asking many a questions from time to time, that data is for internal use only.

Though I do personally agree on this comment, I would LOVE a Duff Beer Camo.

First off, what do you like to play? What ships do you find to be the most successful in/fun in?

Just looking at your options I would suggest Richelieu and Saint-Louis, they both lead to awesome tier Xs in my book!

Hey Captains!

Today's Lesson: Mini-Map Reading!

The mini-map is one of the most important tools to learn early in the game.

The Basics:

+ and - keys will adjust the size of the mini-map.

The mini-map has evolved a lot since the beginning of the game. There are so many adjustments you can make to your mini-map to give you more information. You can add rings for detection by air, detection by sea, AA range, and so forth. I am going to post a few screenshots of the settings and we can go over them real quick!

note* - These just happen to be the settings I had selected for these screenshots =).

As you can see in the screenshots above, there are a multitude of settings/information that you can put on your mini-map. You can access these settings by holding down "control" and clicking on the cog at the bottom.

Let us go over them real...

Yes @Buddy2020,

In addition to the HMCS Haida, both the USS Kidd and the USS Turner Joy have limited capacity.

If you were planning on visiting either I would get your tickets asap.

Hey Timaras, as someone who wasn't even adept at the old system of CVs I had to start fresh like a lot of folks and torpedo launches were incredibly frustrating initially. I found Tier IV torps planes my last resort and only utilized them after rockets and bombs. That being said the practice you'll get from utilizing those single drop torpedos will help you with the higher tier planes and eventually you'll be able to drop a full spread. You'll still miss sometimes (for some of us a LOT of times), but learning to lead the target will get easier.

Folks this feels like it's spun off topic for at least the last few pages so I'm going to close it.

As a fellow gamer, I don't personally want any of you to regret a purchase you haven't had the opportunity to enjoy. The nature of online games changes things significantly at times and while that may difficult to accept (I'm not a fan of change either), it many times results in positive outcomes.

The most important thing you do is to keep letting us know your experiences. Is something not working the way it used to? Are you not having as much fun in certain regards? Tell us why and specifics (not "I hate CVs) but in ways that will let us ensure the Dev team knows how you feel.

As mentioned above these are of course 2 very different games and the PC version currently only has the WV 1941. As others have mentioned we do have existing ship lines already and one of our goals is to continue to provide at least some diversity in the ship lines. A good example is the USS Massachusetts which was in great demand and could have been released as a reskinned Alabama, but that is not our goal with World of Warships.

Now that isn't to say neither of this ships will ever make it to the game, but our focus right now is on the new Russian BB line, French DD's, and other ships we've announced in the Dev Blog.

New players should receive 7 days for playing their first battle, and an additional 7 once they've played a battle in a Tier VI ship.
