I have since yesterday been unable to do any manual saves.
At first I thought it was because there was an update and someone had the idea that you can't save before an update, which if were to be true would be stupid beyond words.
But even after the update and today I have been unable to do a manual save.
When I go into the menu and click on "Create new Save" it gives me a sound as if to say I can't save right now for whatever reason, the problem is that I can't save anywhere.
I don't know what triggered it as I had no problems before.

Sorry to hear you've been having these problems with saving the game.

When you have a look at already existing saves, are you having any 'data corrupt' error messages at all?

Could I also check that in-game, you're seeing the update version as 1.3.1?

That's great, that's all the info I needed on that, thank you.

If you're able, could you also answer the following questions:

  • Have you played the game on any other platforms?
  • Did you experience a crash beforehand?


Could you upload a clip of a manual save being attempted, so I can check which sound effect is played? You can use a file sharing site like Google drive, or YouTube for this.

Hello there @Bansheedragon75!

Thanks for sharing a video with us. Can you let me know which area you're trying to save in? I'm aware that there are some places in-game that you're unable to create saves in, such as in fortresses and dangerous areas. You also can't save during River Raids. You may also be unable to save your game during certain quests, so can you also let us know which quests you have active in your quest log?

Does this issue occur no matter where you try to save?

Thanks for providing us with some more information, @Bansheedragon75. Just to confirm, this issue first started 7th September, 2021, following the release of TU 1.3.1?

I'm aware that there has been some degradation issues with Ubisoft Connect since the release of TU 1.3.1, which may have impacted your ability to save or impacted your ability to launch the game from your Ubisoft Connect library. These should now be resolved. Have you been able to test if the issue still persists today?

If the issue is still persisting, can you provide some additional information for us:

  • Are you still able to autosave/quick save? Or are all saves affected?
  • You mention that this first happening after leaving the Asgard quest line unfinished. Can you let us know what quest you were doing just before this issue occurred?


We can then include this information in your report to the development team.
