I can only pass on your feedback about this for you but can't make decisions on what the dev team will work on I'm afraid, but you've already seen, they do have to focus on issues that have a larger impact on gameplay experience first over cosmetic issues.

As I referred to previously, this was unlikely to be changed with the latest patch due to other issues that would have a higher priority to resolve than a cosmetic issue which doesn't have an impact on gameplay and progression I'm afraid.

Hi @afewscarsmore as Ubi-Froggard mentioned the development team have focused on issues with a higher priority that have an impact on gameplay such as being unable to complete a quest to progress. This is a cosmetic issue and would not prevent you from playing the game.

I understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for and can only apologise.
