RANT (Optional Read):
Hey Ubisoft. I'm back to playing Valhalla after pretty much shelving it since around it's release. Why? Because I remember taking a trip to Asgard and sumbling across an area where Odin's Sight failed to highlight enemies through walls. This, as you can imagine was very damaging to playing stealthily. Nevertheless, I defeated the enemies, though not as stealthily as I would have preferred or built my character around. After that, I awoke from Asgard and continued on progressing all throughout East Anglea where I came across a couple more instances where my Odin's Sight would not work. One of them being the mission where you help the young lord or whatever (it's been 2 years almost) storm an enemy fort. I was constantly unaware of enemies who'd come from around corners or shoot me from up high. Sure, I could change how I play and look before I go around a corner but obviously this game is meant to have the ability to highlight enemies and know your surroundings. After playing the entirety of the game this way, I now know these were indeed bugs and not how the game should be played. Keep in mind I literally spend hours after this troubleshooting, redownloading, playing with graphics settings and finally contacting you and letting you know how I felt. Feel free to look up my e-mail from Mar 20, 2021 if you still have it. I wasn't happy as I had just tried the game again to see if things were fixed after a promising patch. It wasn't and after a crash, I was pretty irritated. After putting 200 hours into the game now, I've decided this time I'll make an effort toward this issue.

THE BUG:
So the bug works like this - you use Odin's Sight within the needed range of enemies, only they cannot be seen through walls. Not only this, they DO recieve a highlight but it appears as a small highlight within a certain part of the body, much like a Weak Point Highlight. Also note that this Weak Point Highlight can only be seen with direct line of sight. It will not go through walls. I decided to make a video showing all of this which I held my phone with one hand and used the controller with the other. So sorry in advance for it taking pauses here and there but I believe it gets the point across. Also, you'll see that I got one of the guards to leave the area and as he did, I use Odin's Sight and it finally highlighted him correctly, through objects as well. I then go into the small fort and display what exactly is happening.

eThe bug works like this - you're in range of enemies to be highlighted by Odin's Sight, only, it highlights them in more of a Weak Point type of way. Meaning it appears more as a read glow within a small area of their body rather than a full body highlight. Not only this, but they cannot be seen through walls. Only if you use the camera to look directly at them within line of sight can you see this "Weak Point Highlight". Keep in mind, this USUALLY seem to happen within a certain

Hey @TimidTyson

I see we did report this some time ago, but unfortunately we were unable to reproduce the issue ourselves so a cause and therefore a fix has not been found.

I'll forward on the information and video you have provided here so the team can take another look at it.

Hey @SpirantCrayon22 !

Thanks for the additional information!

We've forwarded @TimidTyson 's video and report, as well as your own, to our report to the development team, and it's currently being investigated.
For the time being, I would ask for your patience, while the investigation is ongoing and to keep an eye on the patch notes to see if a solution has been implemented in any of the upcoming patches.

If you have any additional information on this issue, or would like to report another one, please feel free to reach out!

Hey there!

@TimidTyson Thanks for the additional information and the link to the older thread, I think I've seen a similar report before, but mainly for some Ireland locations.

From the descriptions provided both from you and @SpirantCrayon22 , it looks like Odin Sight isn't marking enemies the same way as usual, when the enemies are located in active quest areas. I'll have to test that on my own game and will add that to the report we've already created.
