[2021] Jomsviking leveling?

As shared by @TheNorfolkian, your Jomsvikingr will level up depending on how involved they've been in combat. It's not necessarily how many raids they've been on, but what they've done in the raid itself (such as defeating enemies). Keep bringing the same Jomsvikingr on your raids, and they'll soon level up after taking part in the action!

If you don't want to wait, you can also hire higher level Jomsvikingr to join you on your raids.

I hope that you've all been having a great weekend so far. I'm going to try and clear up any confusion regarding the ranking system for Jomsvikings - please do let me know if I've missed any questions, or if you need any additional clarification.

So to start with some confirmed knowledge:

• To reiterate what @Ubi-Borealis shared previously, your own Jomsviking will rank up as you successfully complete the outlined objectives for river raids.
• Regarding Jomsvikings that you recruit that have been created by other players, these will not rank up if you take them on repeat raids, unlike your own Jomsviking. If you wish to take higher-rank Jomsvikings out to raid with you, you'll need to directly recruit new ones that are of a higher rank.
• When looking to recruit new Jomsvikings, if you have upgraded your Jomsviking Hall recently, you can use the bell outside to refresh the available selection of Jomsvikings to ensure that their ranks are more in-line with your progression.

I'm seeking clarification regarding the following topics, to check whether what @TheNorfolkian and @Kormac67 have written is accurate and to make sure that we provide you with the correct information about the system:

• Whether the extent of your Jomsviking's participation in the raids is what determines how quickly they will rank up, e.g. if they take out enemies on your behalf or help you with looting.
• Whether recruitable Jomsvikings created by other players are always Rank 1 when hired, or if their rank can vary.
• Whether the ranks of auto-generated Jomsvikings are limited to/by the upgrade level of your Jomsviking Hall.
• Whether it is more likely that higher-rank auto-generated Jomsvikings will be appear if you have performed several updates to the Jomsviking Hall, but there aren't any higher-rank player-created Jomsvikings available at the time to populate the available selection.

As soon as I receive confirmation on these details, I'll be sure to let you know here. I've also mentioned that clearer in-game clarification would be appreciated, and should there be any in-game changes made as well, I'll let you all know! Thanks.

We have reached out to the development team to see if we can get further clarification about Jomsviking during River Raids. In particular, we've reached out with the following questions:
