I've hunted high and low for posts by other gamers who've encountered this specific problem with the Man's Best Friend ability (level 2), but haven't been able to find any. Either I'm the only one experiencing this annoying issue, or very few people actually use this skill. Given all the problems folks had with getting it via the quest with Knud, as well as the huge number of posts by people seemingly confused as to how the skill actually works (i.e. needing to target an enemy first via LT), I'm going to go out on a limb and guess its the latter and not just me.
So the problem I'm encountering involves the wolf knocking enemies down and killing them. Sometimes the wolf glitches out and vanishes, other times it simply runs away like its supposed to, but the absolute worst aspect of this is how targeted enemies will often get stuck in the animation where they're writhing on the ground spurting blood. Enemies stuck like this cannot be killed or looted which has the potential to be game breaking. For example, I just had it happen to a treasure carrying enemy. Personally I love the wolf and use it often, especially against zealots where the guaranteed knock down is a big boon. Especially at ability level 2 where the wolf can do multiple knockdowns before vanishing.
I'm playing on the Xbox Series X and before you ask, there is no video, no screenshot and no specific place on the map where this happens (unless someone else feels up to doing it). You can test it for yourself by using level 2 of this ability to attack any of the enemies found roaming on any road. Yes, I know you'd prefer it if I did the work for you, but I'm every bit as lazy as the next guy. Besides, wouldn't it be better for you to see for yourself as the developer? Isn't it enough that I took the time to pay for the game, followed by logging in here to make you aware of yet another issue with AC Valhalla?
