My apologies for the misunderstanding. Your wording about it being before the last update and not after 1.6.2 suggested that the issue had been fixed, so we sought to clarify if you'd tried this after 1.6.2 and found it to be fixed. I understand you've updated to 1.6.2, and this issue persists (along with the issue you've reported about Kara's shop) - is that correct?
I've had a look around, and I can see that we'd had a few reports of this issue back in 2021 (although it was the River Raids ship as well as the main longship), but we'd reported this as fixed soon after, so it's really unfortunate to find that this issue has reemerged for you. I can't find any other recent reports of the issue, though, so I wanted to check if we can solve this with some further local troubleshooting.
Can you check the rest of our troubleshooting guide for me? In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your graphics drivers and Windows install fully updated, and you've (at least temporarily, for testing) deactivated all background programs. The issue you've described sounds like something about the save file is going wrong, which sometimes suggests an access (where the game can't fully save the data it needs), so the steps I've recommended should rule this out.
If the ship still reverts after performing those steps, please let me know, and I'll have some further steps we can try
