Hello @menotaur69 thank you for getting in touch with us.

First of all, can I ask if you are sharing the game or DLC with any other account on your console, or another console?

If not, I believe you may be able to fix this issue, by reinstalling any add-on's you may have installed if you are using them, and you can also try restoring your licences for the game by navigating on your console to >
Select Settings > Account Management > Restore Licences

Would you be able to try to try these steps then let us know what happens next, when launching the game?

Thanks for getting back to us, @menotaur69. I am sorry to hear that restoring the licenses did not help to resolve the issue with the freezing at the checking add-ons screen for you.

Could you please run through the other steps outlined in our PlayStation 4 troubleshooting guide here? Can you also advise us of roughly how long you have tried leaving the game to load, in case as @SpirantCrayon22 has mentioned, it is just a case that the game is taking a longer time to load than expected?

A video of the issue would be appreciated if you find that it persists, so that we can see what is happening on-screen for you. Thanks again! 🙂

Hey there @drachir2022, thank you for getting in touch and letting me know that you're experiencing this issue.

We have had reports that power cycling the console can help resolve the problem. It is important to note that power cycling is a bit different to rebooting and has been known to help resolve many common issues.

If you're on Xbox could you please try the following steps:

  1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
  2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you're on PlayStation could you please try the following steps:

  1. Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button pressed in.
  2. Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes.

Let me know if that helps!
