When I make any changes to my controls (Key Board Commands) the option to apply those changes is grayed out. Same holds true for graphics, sounds or any other menu options. What is the story here. Is it a bug or what.

@ChuckKatse Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

I just checked to see if this happens to me on my personal PC, and I was unable to apply any changes to my controls, or any of the other option tabs, with the exception of Graphics and Gameplay. I had @Ubi-oof check as well, and the same thing happened on their end. I think it's safe to assume this is not intended, so I'm going to go ahead and report this to the devs.

For now, please try verifying your game files. This will scan the game and make sure everything is intact and working like it should be. Once again, thank you very much for reporting this!

Hi @ChuckKatse the development team have asked the following:

  • Do you have a controller connected when trying to change the settings?
  • What specific functions are you trying to change in the options menu?
  • Are you experiencing this on the Ubisoft Connect, Steam or Epic version version of the game?
  • Could you also provide a video demonstrating this issue? I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread. 


The development team also tried changing some of the control settings and did not have to apply them and it still worked, can you confirm if this works for yourself?

Please also ensure that you are launching the game with administrator rights.

Our development team has requested some more information for their investigation:

  • They would like to see this issue from your perspective. This is why they are asking for a video of exactly what settings are not being properly changed. Could you please provide a short clip of what you are trying to change and what happens when you do so?
  • Please also make sure that you have your latest save game uploaded to the cloud
