I also just encountered this bug as well. While still in the castle's keep Sigurd says their only chance is a parley with King Alfred, then it cuts to the inside of King Alfred's tent and Sigurd is missing, and he has no dialog, either spoken or subtitles.

After doing some digging around, it appears such matter was not brought up to our team before, therefore for troubleshooting purposes, can I check if you've already tried verifying your game files to see if issue persists?

Just to check, what happens once the cutscene ends? Are you given any further quest objectives, such as reporting to Randvi, or does the story stop progressing?
You mention that you've been experiencing a lot of crashes recently too. Do these crashes still persist, or have these stopped happening?
