Hello @mecatalyst thank you for your post.

Our QA team tested this in-game using the information you provided and confirmed this to be the case, the descriptions/locations in the note/book in the inventory were not accurate, as to where the fish appear in the world.

I am unsure what the AC team's plans are regarding this issue, but when we have any further information, we will do our best to update you in the forum and make a post about this. Thank you for your help and for bringing this to our attention.

Just to keep you updated, @mecatalyst, I've requested a little more information from the QA team which reproduced this issue, to double-check whether the issue they were able to reproduce was just the visual discrepancies between the descriptions when viewing caught fish against their entries in the "Fantastic Fish and Where to Find Them" pages, or else if they also tried fishing in the rivers as you did and were unable to find the specified fish there despite it being stated that they can be caught there. I've done this as I read over the statement provided to us and it was a little unclear, so I just want to make sure we're providing you with an accurate and updated assessment of the situation.

We'll keep you updated with any new information we receive regarding this topic. I'm a keen fisher in Valhalla myself, so I can fully appreciate that having the most accurate information available to you is best! Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your feedback about fish locations, @Kormac67! I noticed this in my own game when prompted to fish a pollock from the Thames I'll pass on your feedback about the locations of fish to the development team.
