The Mists
  • The Mists are a new realm dedicated to solo and duo PvE and PvP gameplay
  • Will o’ Wisps can be found in the open world and Roads of Avalon:
    • If followed, they open portals to the Mists for a short period before disappearing
    • Depending on the type of Wisp, the portals allow either one or two players to enter before closing:
      • Portals to “The Mists" (the solo version of the Mists) only support one player and parties can’t be formed while inside The Mists
      • Portals to “The Greater Mists" (the duo version of the Mists) support parties of up to two players, but no more
    • These portals have a rarity level, which can upgrade over time

Fixes
  • Fixed a potential issue with Mists matchmaking
  • Fixed an issue with Learning Points not being used when using the "Auto Learn" Feature

Updating the Mists Balance based on Player Feedback

Hey everyone!


During today’s maintenance, we’ve addressed some of the initial feedback for the Beyond the Veil update.

To begin, we’ve made some initial adjustments to respond to feedback about the rewards. The Mists should never outcompete the open world in terms of value, as this would drain players from the open world which is not healthy for the game in the long term. Despite this stance, we do feel there are opportunities to increase the rewards in the Mists.


Artifact Enemies / Mythical Mobs

Due to artifacts having a tendency to plummet in value if too many are given out, we have to show some restraint with how many of the Mythical creatures spawn, or else they will be easily found but not rewarding at all. To help them retain their value we wanted to collect some initial data to see how many of the enemies we spawn are actually killed.

It arrived a day early, but in case you hadn't noticed, Beyond the Veil is live! This huge update introduces a whole new realm - the Mists - dedicated to solo and duo play, along with the city of Brecilien, all-new Fey Armor, Pristine enchantment levels, reworked Roads of Avalon, and more.

Beyond the Veil Arrives November 21

November 21 brings Albion’s latest content update: Beyond the Veil. This huge update expands the realms of Albion, introducing a new region called the Mists, a new city, new mobs, and new Artifact Armor. Additionally, the Roads of Avalon are significantly reworked, making them more competitive for smaller guilds while still offering large-group content. And a new resource enchantment – Pristine – brings extremely rare and valuable treasures for high-level players. With all this and more, Beyond the Veil expands Albion’s possibilities for every player type.
