Hello

Hadn't played Anno for a few weeks but wanted to play yesterday(10/2). The game downloaded an update and nothing weird there. But when i started the game it keept freezing and lagging no matter what i did. Klicked on a ship, on a building, changed to another area. It would run smothly for maybe 20 seconds and then freeze again for about 7-8 seconds. Ive tried updating my graphics card(Nvidia Ge-Force), both newest version and and old version(457.51).

I have read the thread regarding the game freezez with some newer graphic versions. That doesent apply to my problem. I didnt do anything to my computer or graphics card before downloading the recent game update. Before the recent game update the game worked fine so its not my computer, it all started with the newest game update.

I cant be the only person having this issue!? Please advice.

Hey all, the team is currently investigating this issue.

Could you please let us know if the issue only appears when you're actively doing something (e.g. clicking) or even if the game is just running on its own without you doing anything? Thank you!

Could you please verify the game files if the issues persist?

Are the freezes happening constantly or only when you do certain actions?

Please also provide an overview over the hardware you're using.

Thank you

Going Ubisoft way: Windows found some corrupted files and repaired thous but it didn't bring any improvement

Going offline way; Mayby at the begining of game performance was a litle better but it could be only concidence.

In both cases after about two hour of plaing this long lags ( during opening transfer window ship-magazine, expedition window, and randomly in tha game) is raise significantly making the game ultra annoying or even unplayable.

My settings
-graphic settings between middle and high (anti aliasing off)
-PC

Hey guys!

If you have completed all of the troubleshooting that was mentioned already, I would like to ask you to provide us with your system files, which will allow us to have a closer look to see what may be possibly causing this to occur. To do this, simply follow steps outlined in the following article.

Should you have any further questions, let us know!

Hey teun888, welcome to forums and thank you for sharing this with everyone!

Hopefully others who are experiencing this will find it useful as well.

I hope the next patch update wil fix this. this game aint cheap.
Hey, I'm very sorry to read you are your friend are still facing this behaviour.

A fix was released which should resolve it for most players. We are also aware however that some PCs with an RTX graphics card may be experiencing a separate issue, causing high performance drops.

First of all, verify game files: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000060529

I also recommend updating your graphics card driver.

If the issue persists, can you please confirm your friend's graphics card?

Thank you!

Hello there, SwEEtdealer51! I'm really sorry to hear you're running into these issues, especially after having completed each of these troubleshooting steps.

It'd be best to have our teams look into those MSINFO and DxDiag files you've mentioned. I'd like you to create a new ticket with our support team and attach these files to this ticket. You've mentioned being unable to create a ticket, though you should still be able to create one using this method. Give it another try, perhaps try the email support option, if available.

If you're still having trouble creating a ticket this way, you can also reach out to our teams on the Ubisoft Support Facebook or Ubisoft Support Twitter pages!

Hey!

Can you please explain in more detail what FPS you used to get, and what FPS you're getting now?

Does your FPS only drop after certain actions?

Hello! I will try to find an answer for you.

Can you please confirm if the freezing only occurs when performing certain actions, such as clicking on buildings, or is the stuttering/freezing consistent?

Thank you for your time.

Hello a55p2, thank you for getting back to us, I appreciate that extra information, we will keep investigating to see if this will improve for most of our players in a future patch, at the moment the Anno team are aware of this issue but we have no further updates or resolutions at this time.

For anyone else experiencing FPS frops since a recent update, we would like to know the following -

- What driver update are you using?
- When did you first notice this affect your FPS?

Please also create a new support case here - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/Cases/New

Please attach the following files to this case -

Dxdiag - https://ubi.li/msrxL
Msinfo - https://ubi.li/lmiCE
Save File locations: - %userprofile%\Documents\Anno 1800\accounts\

We will need your save file, dxdiag files and msinfo files to properly investigate this further using similar hardware and using your affected save file, if we can aquire these files by players affected by FPS drops, we may be able to resolve this issue sooner for you, thank you.
