I just assembled a new computer including intel 12th generation and DDR5 memory. I installed Anno 1800, unfortunately, it crashes as soon as pop up a big black screen, but if I restart the computer and try to open it, it opens and then I close the game and try to run again it crashes until I restart the computer again.
I tried every other possible solution. The game opens with Direcx 11 already. Could it be possible because of the new intel processor? My Windows is 10 and updated already. It is so frustrating buying a brand new desktop and can not open Anno 1800.

@j-sezar

Hey there.

Sorry to hear you've encountered this.

Please first of all attempt every step suggested here. These steps do resolve a lot of the most common causes of crashing/freezing.

If after doing so the issues persist for you we'd then like to take a look over your system files to investigate this further with you if we can. I have opened a support case for you as there might be some additional steps we can offer to you to resolve this after you have submitted your system files to us. Please submit those files when you can and update your case once you have done so to let us know they've been attached. Thanks!

Hey, @geronimoalpha7!

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue as well. If you're using a 12th gen Intel processor, what you're experiencing may be related to this.: (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000088261/processors/intel-core-processors.html) Have you been able to try these steps? If not, please give those a try and check to see if the issue persists. Please let me know if you have any questions!

@kiedra Thanks for letting us know you're affected by this. Since those other steps didn't solve the issue, the scroll lock workaround: (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000088259/processors/intel-core-processors.html) does seem to be a viable next step.

@dmdilks Glad to hear you were able to run the game the other times you tried. If you run into trouble as you continue to play, please run through the steps suggested in this thread and update us on any further issues.
