There's a "Daily Cap"? Never seen or heard of that? If so, where is it? Or are we talking about the round cap?

You posted a damage chart. The patch notes don't specify if they're talking about damage over range, or range as in how far the bullets can actually go. We won't really know until we can see into the data browser.
Regardless, AA HMGs are only featured on Pacific tanks, and there are no bombers in the Pacific.
I posted a damage OVER DISTANCE chart. Bottom line is they are buffing the AA max range. Higher range = lower damage dropoffs. Anyhow, I give up trying to explain this to you.

You posted a chart from the 5.2 update in December where they nerfed the AA HMG damage? What does that have to do with what we were talking about?
Read the full patch notes. I posted 5x to show the old range. It's max range has been increased.
Yet another raise of almost 300.000 points, but as far as PartWelsh knows they haven't changed the Rank 40 requirement.
Highjacking top comment to volunteer why there's been a change on the XP Requirement for the Dogtag this chapter and how it might create a false impression on other things related to the Dogtag and the road to Rank 40.
First thing to note - Yes, the total amount of Chapter XP required for the Dogtag is higher than previous chapter, that's not an error, and it reflects the total amount of unassisted gameplay required to hit Rank 40 in this chapter, which is the standard by which we determine when players should be able to attain the Gold Dogtag.
This however isn't strictly reflective of the experience you will have if you're chasing either Rank 40, or the Dogtag if you measure it in terms of hours played vs. the last chapter, instead of measuring it against raw XP needed.
On the topic of hours played, you will be earning more Chapter XP in this chapter as we have changed the earn rates for top performers in round, and the Cap on Chapter Rank XP. Yes the total...

Hey folks,
Earlier today we set live the Update for Chapter 6.0 and in that process we inadvertently released the M2 Carbine and the Model 37 Shotgun for players who hopped on this morning. Both of these weapons were originally intended as Chapter Rank Rewards.
We met this morning to ask ourselves what we'd prefer to do in the circumstance and have opted to release both weapons, to all players as Default Weapons and so everyone should find these as weapons you can equip in your loadouts.
This will mean that we need to replace these rewards in the Chapter Rank systems, (Rank 10, and Rank 24) and I'll have more info on what we replace them with tomorrow.

It was missed, my mistake though I can volunteer it was unquestionably our most answered survey last year.
They aren't buffing the AA distance. They appear to only be standardizing the range of the HMGs/coax machine guns.

While you're here, could you answer why I'm downloading 40GB right now?
Depends if it's 'Preparing' (this isn't downloading, just a HDD management that because it uses the same interface as the Downloading part of the Origin Client), or if it's downloading.
If it's downloading 40gb, it's because during the Preparing Phase, the Origin Client has scanned your files and discovered inconsistencies or damaged files and it's replacing them.
If it's just preparing 40gb it's not actually downloading and usually once it clears preparing, it starts the correct download.

Right, so like I originally said, the buffed the AA. Don't know why everyone disagreed lol.
I'll be posting one on Friday for February. Our last one was in December (which closed at the start of January).
We missed January on account of the Winter Break but we'll have a new one live at the end of the week.
