Incoming transmission!

Last week was a big one for us, where we talked about what’s coming both in the near term and further down the road in 2019. If you missed any of the announcements then do check out the Transmission, which will bring you up to speed.

The first of that content is coming this week, on August 28th to be exact as it makes up the Roger Roger Update. Here’s what’s on the way.

Venator and Dreadnaught
We’re bringing both the Separatist Dreadnought and Republic Attack Cruiser to Heroes vs Villains. Since the release of Capital Supremacy we’ve seen this addit...

Well done team

It's been absolutely brilliant to be your community manager for this past year or so. I couldn't have done half the stuff I did without Ben's support, though, so thank you to him most of all. I'll miss chatting with the Battlefront and Fallen Order teams every day, but there's a galaxy of adventures out there waiting for me. Who knows? Maybe we'll see each other again one day. Until then, it's been a blast!

Was there a rampaging Range Trooper stomping around Gamescom and crushing the feet of innocent bystanders?

In all seriousness, we wish you a speedy recovery and a well-earned rest.

I've no idea how they happened.

Thanks everyone :)

People once said the same thing about Battlefront II.

3 will be soon with the next gen consoles coming.

EA wants money and they’re not just gonna have 2 shooters during their whole deal with Disney.

Some people think this game will be supported for another 2-3 years

We've not even talked about '3', we're focused on this one. I mean, we've had the 'what if', but are focus remains.

And that's the problem, IMO.

I wonder if he is referring to the default era-locked weapons that they all have the same stats. That's got to be it right?

Coming from someone that used to be an SA main, this indeed always felt very stupid to me.

On Starfighter Assault, every ship has different stats and 'guns' and different abilities between eras. The Rebellion Fighter (X-Wing) is very different from the Republic Fighter (ARC-170) for example. So you have much more variety. Whereas on the ground modes, a CIS Assault is 100% identical to a Rebellion Assault - same stats, same guns, same everything. I never quite understood why both types of gameplay are balanced so differently, other than being made by different studios, they still would have to be cohesive.

edit: Omg Dennis replied to me.
I have waited a long time for this moment my little green friend.

This. So much this.

This.

Our team size hasn't really changed in the last year or so. People have come and gone but for the most part it's the same core group.
