While I fully appreciate your viewpoint - I see a great PvP culture developing on PlayStation. Red Basin was full all last night and this morning and Tristezza is a hotbed of PvP activity on PlayStation. We're mixing it up and we're having fun. The game seems to be growing.
I fly solo through there all the time to do boss runs while trying to keep notoriety down. The notoriety mechanic is too aggressive at level 3. Those guards lock you in chains immediately and kill you throughout basically all population centers. And it takes FOREVER to tone down that crap.
So the mechanic for control is there - and like I said - it is too aggressive.
The one thing they MIGHT want to do is increase the availability of Declaration of Peace scrolls so users can avoid PvP altogether if they wish. Then everyone is in control of their own game.
Like we talked about the other day, the pvp culture on PS4 is definitely more prevalent than on Xbox. I decided to leave the video as is, because even though the ratio is different, both platforms have both PVErs that want to be left alone, and PVPers that feel the consequences of PK are too harsh. Knowing how open world pvp was implemented was supposed to help both style players understand why things aren't as smooth yet as they might be otherwise.
Guards chaining you even though you only PVPd a little is a direct result of devs implementing open world pvp without actually wanting people to use it. But they are now realizing, people love open world pvp and are going to do it, so devs are having to rethink and rebalance. Honestly I don't think both styles of players will ever be fully happy. It's hard to get them to coexist
I never liked peace scrolls. Essentially they are a cash shop item people are putting into the market for SS, so its like "hey if you don't like...

To verify, is the activation objectives still ther same? As in killing a ton of Footpads can still trigger one? And if so, do I have to wait for the timer to go down? Thirdly, it says "Cannot accept this quest", does this affect mmt ability to activate?
Also, thank you :)

The activations requirements are the same with 1 exception. We formerly believed killing pumas would trigger the Gnoll Waste invasion. Then a GM said in gobal that the trigger is killing 100 Drysand Choppers, and right after an actual developer said the trigger is 20 pumas and 20 lake elephants. We're not 100% sure yet which one, or any of those is correct. I can't imagine why even from the actual developers and staff, there is so much secrecy and conflicting information. The altar can only be activated if the icon on the map says "quest is available". If you see a timer, the invasion is not available yet
You can’t lol
I've got some crafting recipes for fishing gear. Could make them and sell them on MP
I just recently learned how to upgrade my gear so I'm trying to win as many trophies as possible to do that hopefully that helps.
As for the invasions, what alter are you talking about? I didn't see anything about that in the tutorial, which isn't a surprise since they suck, and just literally constantly check my map to see when one starts. If I can trigger them, it would improve my tiers 1,000% so I'm not wasting time
I made an invasions guide. They got nerfed since then so you can't farm them for XP anymore but all the location data is still current https://youtu.be/Jw1mhmd2TjY
Maybe am reading wrong into it, but it seems like the devs only wants us to put or/trade with other guild members what ever the devs wants. And we dont the have the freedom of putting whatever we want.
Anyway its to soon to judge anything, not long left now for the spring update, so time will tell how this will work out.
It definitely sounds limited. Like you won't be able to put gear or weapons in, just consumables

Read more External link →I agree about the avoiding pvp till my gear score is up. I am broke and on my first character. I can't just go buy good gear from the mp. And I made the mistake of starting in a slow server and don't have the saturation of the other server. But I love the game and keep grinding along. I hit lvl 30 last night! Super excited to try out some dungeons!
Technically this is the kind of pvp system where no matter your gear score, you're going to get slapped around until you've got enough rep to get pvp gear, and then you get to slap around the new people
Exactly. It's much more tricky for this, but if there was a way that once you activated PVP in open world, the playing field is adjusted so unsuspecting bystanders have a chance to defend themselves. I don't think a lvl 40 being able to bully a 21 is fair. I don't mind someone starting a fight with me unexpected, but I don't like being one shot and losing a boss chest because someone is a dick.
Or maybe adjust it so you can only initiate open world pvp in gear score appropriate areas. 800-1000 Tristezza up to 1400+ Eidolon. Just spitballing. Generally I've never been a fan of forced open world pvp.
This really needs to be pinned to the top. I appreciate the comments in reference to being patient and giving the Devs time to fix things. This is a really fun game.
Side note. Level or gear based PVP has never been a great idea in my opinion, unless they have a separate mode for it.
I actually love that idea! Seperate synced and unsynced battlegrounds and arenas. The people who love their high gear score won't feel like something was taken away from them, and level 20s with GS of 900 won't be afraid to queue either
Thanks btw love your videos
I appreciate it^
Invasion are a kind of elite crusade. Regular crusades can be started by one player just touching the trigger object. Invasions must be triggered by killing a certain number of a certain type of enemy in the area, after the altar is touched
The biggest fish are in Timeless Jungle, but you'll need at least blue fishing gear to have a decent shot at catching them
It's an upgrade material. You need to have it in your inventory when you upgrade your alchemist
